Even tho they may not investigate the LCL but they can put some obstacles to the deal...to force HK/CEI to negotiate. Why should we let those leeches enjoy our blood? x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	If in other countries esp in the US, if anything is viewed as fraud, a volunteer lawyer would sue a company free of legal costs for and on behalf of all shareholders and seek compensation from the suit to be instituted. Shareholders need just to sign an authorisation form and legal fees are only paid from the compensation when obtained.   This is big business in the States. In Singapore, we don' t have precedents of anyone suing a company or its board, if there is a belief that some directors have carried or have been carrying out an action irrationally or via fraudulent manners or misrepresentation that could result in drastic loss of share price or value. Maybe some people could use an alternative way such as getting a court injunction to stop something from happening until all questions are properly sorted.. But our corporate laws might be different from what I understand, and our courts might not be sympathetic due to lack of experience in such matters that they might believe to be normal business decisions to be decided by the board of directors whose decision are based on resolutions passed.   CCBDavidChen      ( Date: 13-Jun-2014 18:33) Posted: Have written. In the process, whether David does it ethically or spares a thought for retail investors/gamblers is secondary. Nobody put a gun to our heads and force us to Buy/Sell HK. Everyone came onboard with eyes opened.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SSH should increase their stake instead of disposing them.   If a few SSH increased their holdings, then there is a chance that they will want the RTO to be renegotiated, or lapsed on long stop date (when? I am not sure) Shares prices behave unpredictably, so what is in store, who can say for sure?

Since 65% of shares are in public hand there is a chance that min 75% may not be secured - provided most of minorities attend the EGM, otherwise the SSH holding 35% can pull thru easily (NB. 75% rule is based on vote cast at the EGM via show of hand or by Poll - normally is by Poll in favour of SSH). Bottomline is this. Very hard to organise Minorities joint actions in S' pore (unlike some western countries where Minorities are actively engaged). Thus think about cutting loss. UOBKH stated TP 74c. - means a further drop by 19% from Fri close. Due to heavy dilution bcos px issued to CEI @ 70.3c, price can keep on dropping from now. The bottom is 70.3c. DYODD. Just my opinion, not vested.
