But don't understand why a lot of US companies when they announced share buy back, their share price go up. looks like their investors fail to view this as bad.. maybe they including Warren B are as stupid as us.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	based on last quarter report , capland buyback part of the convertible bonds due in 2016 and 2018 with 3.125% interest and 2.875%   And then issued new bonds due in 2020 with lower interest at 1.85% only .... so is that prudent money mgmt ?

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	the largest shareholder in capitaland is still temasek holding with more than 40% shares . But what the heck is substantial shareholder - Black rock doing last few days ??? They bought in about 3.6 millions shares on 10th dec and then sold 3.7 million  shares on 12th dec   and capitaland is busy scooping up it's own shares . Thus it boosting it's asset and NAV .

Is this what your idea??? 2. Wasting money on buyback ???? Are you more in picture how capitaland investment and future development and how much tangible net asset compare to current share price, if you are not, then where is your justification for wasting of money??? 3. Money raised from right issue was at much lower price then $2??? The recent rights issue is for Ascott Reits, the price of Ascott Reits price is only around $1 plus, if it is going to issue rights at > $2 then do you think the subscription rate will be 163% oversubscrip. Rights are usually raised at a much lower premium to attract investor. Base on the subscription rate it is sure that investor stil very much confident with the future development for Ascott Reits. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	dont know the business, dont talk too much. cpl has so much mega dev that can double its nav in the foreseeable future. if it lack miney it can anytime throw its matured malls like those in Shanghai into reits to draw money. if u are firm on shorting so be it. I am holding to it to at least $5.

It have already mention Net tangible Asset per share, they are ready for the challenge. As after deducting the intangible and liabilities it is still more then existing price.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Relax, it would not be 1 or 2 buy back.You just go to the SGX,short selling, you will observe the consistency of short selling of around 33% for this counter, it is an agent short selling, not individual.I believe they are ready to fight back before the share buyback proceed.
