don't forget the panic selling in past 2 years. The financial credit is not resolved at all, debt now is higher. Earlybird assume Russian monopoly case is ended and supply is resume. But obviously, this is not the case, low sales volume is just a excuse from the management. Fish consumption in China is still growing, 30% drop is huge and it is definitely a supply issue instead of demand issue.

The Russian business is not losing but less profitable this time round?
Perhaps  present negatives are being priced in..... the current price of 0.425 means a  cheap price of 0.51 before last year right issues. Looking forward to a brighter future and giving credit to the management for trying to grow the business while adapting to changing business environment.

Supply contract business bring a big concern. Copeinca acquisition are supposed to expand the company business with higher revenue, higher cash flow and ease the long overdue financial issue. Now,  Copeinca revenue is just to compensate the losing business from supply contract business, but bearing with higher debt. Pacific andes group really gonna kicked out by Russia? it is a big question and big doubt here based on the falling revenue.

S69, this is a Buying Opportunity. Those who are able to ride this wave will laugh all the way to the bank. BB is indeed very attractive. Now waiting for them to announce the dividend. Cheerio

Question : If CF can acquire Copeinca, can they do the same by buying up the remaining shares (which is less than 20%) in the market since almost all experts said CF is so attractive ? If that case, those who are holding to the share will have tremendous gain just like Copeinca shareholders. Is it ? The larger or greater Copeinca has brought tremendous profits and benefits to CF just 1 Qtr alone. Once they buy over CF remaining shareholders, they can officially named as Copeinca. Can someone please share your view .... thks        |

China Fish's  pre-paid contracts cover supply of fish from 23 Russian vessels for a period of 10 to 18 years up to 2030.  I think China Fish would continue exploring  the expansion of  her fishery resources......  by 2022  to 2030??? (that is, still  have good time to do so).

most people  are worried about their Russian contract  business... once pull out from Russia totally, a large chunk of their revenue will be gone....if a new revenue source other than Copeinca is identified then  it will be great!! but of course reduction of  the debt will be their top priority...hopefully the market can react more positively to the increase in profit though...Cheers!! btw....still no mention of when the dividend will be given out...we need something to spur  other's interest...hahaha...  |

Overall China Fishery did well with the acquisition.  Pacific Andes' Q1 results lifted by subsidiary China Fishery Published on Feb 11, 2014 7:04 PM  By Rachael Boon Frozen
seafood supplier Pacific Andes Resources Development saw its first-quarter
revenue rise 2 per cent to HK$2.4 billion, boosted by its unit China Fishery
Group. Revenue
from the fishery and fish supply division increased by 34.4 per cent to HK$1.1
billion for the three months to Dec 28, compared with the same period a year
ago, reported the firm on Tuesday (Feb 11). This
makes up 46.7 per cent of total revenue. This was
mainly due to contributions from Copeinca ASA, the fishmeal and fish oil
business recently acquired by China Fishery.

Refinancing of  China Fish's  bridging loan is targeted to be completed in the second quarter of FY2014 (that is, this or next month). Good. |

During the AGM & EGM, the management has mentioned that they will be staying out of that Russian region and focus in Peru which is bearing fruits and contributed to the increase 56.5% for the 1QFY2014. Today with all the confusion, it presents a tremendous great buying opportunity afterall the valuation of the company is so attractive. Revenue from the Contract Supply Business, which accounted for 40.6% of total revenue, retreated 34.3% from US$89.7 million to US$58.9 million on the back of lower sales volume. Big question about the sustainability of China Fish. Impairment loss will be recorded in Contract Supply Business. |
