Just to recall... (in SGX announcement dated 28 Jan 13)... " China Fish together with Pacific Andes Resources Development Limited and Pacific Andes International Holdings Limited have previously announced on 5 Dec 12 that the Group was in discussions with Russian Sea Catching LLC (RSC) of the Russian Federation in respect of exploring various opportunities of possible future cooperation with RSC. It was disclosed at the AGM that the Group is unlikely to invest in more than a minority stake and may consider investing if, amongst other things, the future cooperation could assist in broadening the benefits currently enjoyed by the Group in Russia. if you go to the post dated 26th Feb http://infopub.sgx.com/FileOpen/CFGL-LoanAnnc_704_728.ashx?App=Announcement& FileID=232885 Mandatory Prepayment Change of Control Pacific Andes Resources Development Limited ( PARD ) ceases to be the legal and beneficial owner (directly or indirectly) of at least 50.1% of the issued share capital of the Company, or ceases to have Control (as defined in the Appendix) over the Company. Pacific Andes International Holdings Limited ( PAIH ) ceases to be the legal and beneficial owner (directly or indirectly) of at least 50.1% of the issued share capital of PARD, or ceases to have Control over PARD. The Ng Family ceases to be the legal and beneficial owner (directly or indirectly) of at least 50.1% of the issued share capital of PAIH or ceases to have Control over PAIH or PARD or the Company. It's the same thing.. So i was thinking that it's been there for long time...

the latest announcement posted in the CFGL site states that they have successfully increase the bank load to fund the acquisition, which is a piece of good news despite the higher interest liability of course. But in the appendix it also mentioned the cessation of the Ngs family as being the majority shareholder of the company. What does it means? Is it good or bad news wrt that? | ||||

This what Fitch said in their report. Guess media failed to highlight. Kudos to ChinaFish in making this move. Also the valuation was report to be USD900m then whereas now they are basing on USD$600m. Interesting how they play with rating. I choose to go with Moody rating remain because now they have transformed into what was said by someone KING OF THE OCEAN " BLUE MARLIN" " Weaker volumes due to lower fishing harvests
are often compensated by higher selling prices. This is evident in strong price increases of
Peruvian fishmeal and fish oil as a result of significantly lower total
allowable catch (TAC) for Peru anchovies for the two fishing seasons starting
in November 2012 and May 2013. Prices of Peruvian fishmeal at end-March hit a record USD2,200 per metric ton
compared with between USD1,200 and USD1,600 in 2012. As a result China Fishery's H113 EBITDAR margin rose to 45% versus 40% for
2012. RATING SENSITIVITIES Positive: Future developments that may,
individually or collectively, lead to positive rating action, such as a change
in Outlook to Stable, include: -A fall in adjusted net debt/EBITDAR to below 3x
in FY14 (ending September) -No material changes to contract supply operations

Hi UPRR18, perhaps China Fish could add salted fish into her list of products... LOL... http://www.chinafisherygroup.com/images/products.gif No other comments... just hope that the upcoming 3rd qtr results are above the market expectations and the management is able to address successfully the pointers stated in the Moody's & Fitch's rating reports.
