 Alert Admin 		If there are synergies between a company' s various businesses then there is commercial sense for a company to do both.

But if there are no synergies and the only reason for a company to distract from its core business is diversification, then I don' t think that is a good reason. Especially if a company has outside shareholders or is listed. I don' t need a company to diversify for me as I diversify myself by investing into many different companies.

Venture resumed its sharebuybacks yesterday (9/6/26) at $17.48. Its previous buyback was on 23/3/26 at $15.47. Perhaps this is an early sign which reinforces the management team' s confidence in the long-term future of the Company. In reference to the 1Q2026 quarterly business update published on SGXNet by the Company on 5/5/26, within the Outlook, the Company said, " Venture Group achieved a turnaround in our 1Q2026 financial performance, albeit with only a small year-on-year revenue increase, but one that is of signigicant importance. This is like new shoots sprouting in early spring. We expect these new shoots to grow in 2026." This bullish language is unusual from Venture as compared with previous quarterly business updates where management has historically been ultra conservative when commenting on the future. Combined with its significant warchest of a balance sheet, consistent profitability margins, an emphasis on shareholder returns with continued buybacks and a steady dividend (4.6% yield at today' s price of $17.55), it appears that the prospects are bright, at least over the medium term. Venture will be a big beneficary for sure.

A significant number of larger US institutional investors nowadays won' t look at fundamentals or may even be barely aware of what the company does. They are factor investors so will see that Venture  is 1) a tech company, 2) a relatively large company for SGX, and 3) a relatively cheap company on valuation metrics in its sector and press the buy button.

Shares of Venture Corp. jumped to a three-year high after the Singapore-listed technology service provider returned to profit growth after a period of declines.


The stock climbed as much as 11% on Wednesday to 18.30 Singapore dollars, its highest intraday level since 2023.

Venture' s earnings turnaround shows promise, said Citi analyst Arthur Pineda. It marks the company' s first year-over-year earnings growth after a prolonged period of contraction through 2024 to 2025, he wrote in a note.

However, the rebound is still too soft for a stock upgrade, the analyst said, leaving his neutral rating and S$16.30 target price unchanged.

" On a constant-currency basis, revenue growth would have been a more encouraging 8.2%," Pineda said, noting that the U.S. dollar' s weakness against the Singapore dollar and the ringgit remains a material headwind to Venture' s reported numbers.

The most recent buy-back lifted total repurchased shares to over 225,000 since program start.

Venture Corporation Limited repurchased 14,800 shares on 3  March under its existing share buy‑ back mandate, the company announced on SGXNet.

The shares were bought at an average price of $15.40 per share, for a total consideration of $228,261, including fees and duties.

Since the start of the program, Venture Corporation has repurchased a total of 225,500 shares, representing 0.0784% of the company&rsquo s issued shares excluding treasury shares.

The latest buy‑ back brings the company&rsquo s treasury shares to 1.34 million. Excluding treasury shares, the company said its total number of issued shares stood at 287.61 million.
The share buy‑ back program is part of Venture Corporation&rsquo s ongoing capital management strategy and is being conducted in compliance with the Singapore Exchange Listing Rules.


The company&rsquo s announcement was submitted by its company secretary and published on SGXNet.

With both Venture' s customers - Philip Morris and Illumina sales soaring, it should be positive for Venture moving forward
