i think u think too much. Resinvest cannot stop the price from going up if the coming years profit is superb, as it just a minority shareholder. and Melati wont sell it cheap, as he is still working very hard to build his empire !! unless he can raise the fund to take GEO private dyodd

Just my hypothesis...... What if ResInvest intend to take Geo private? What would be the behaviours of ResInvest and Malati? 1. ResInvest will not want the price to sky rocket 2. Malati (and us) will want the price to shoot up If the hypothesis is correct, the negotiation may be....... how Malati (and us) can benefit as much as possible and ResInvest do not need to pay too high price?

Based on the below announcement, it's value can easily worth more than S$1 a share but BBs refuse to push it up for fear profit takers taking opportunity to sell. But if we persistently don't sell, the prices will not go down except upwards.

It will depend on how the investment deal with Resinvet is structured. It may include options/warrants again which may dilute shareholders stake. So, maybe someone has the wind of the deal or maybe the coming result is lacklustre resulting in shares being dumped or shorted. Look like Geo has some cash flow challenges. Dyodd.

Market really cannot the value of Geo? Or shortists trying to scare holders? The 71.3% MBJ sstakealone is worth more than the current mkt valuation. TRA mine valuation is also worth more than a billion as well.. What is the real worth for GEO with all these assets added together? Hold longer to get higher returns. No contra is best. Dyodd. |

Geo Energy locks in $1.90b valuation for coal infrastructure unit with ResInvest deal
The two will also form a marketing JV.
Geo Energy Resources Limited (Geo Energy) has signed a binding term sheet with ResInvest to invest in its PT Marga Bara Jaya (MBJ) subsidiary at a valuation of $1.90b (US$1.5b), with the final investment amount and percentage holding to be confirmed in a definitive agreement.
The investment is structured in two tranches, with an initial capital injection targeted for the third quarter of 2026 and the remainder to follow in the first quarter of 2027. Geo Energy described the amount under discussion as substantial.
MBJ comprises a 92-kilometre hauling road and jetty capable of handling up to 50 million tonnes of coal per year at full operational capacity.
The group said the infrastructure is targeted to generate up to an additional $380.61m (US$300m) in EBITDA annually within a few years, underscoring its scale and commercial potential.
Alongside the MBJ investment, Geo Energy and ResInvest Commodities Pte Ltd will form a marketing joint venture aimed at maximising returns from the sales of coal produced by another Group subsidiary, PT Triaryani.
Geo Energy said further announcements will be made once the definitive agreement has been signed.
The news follows Geo Energy completing a share placement of 35 million new ordinary shares.

how can u expect the company to keep doing sbb and also keep growing the business. The main focus of the management is to focus on completing MBJ, getting the revenue scaled up and increase the business overall. Dont expect high dividends also, because for the remainder of 2026 there is just one single goal, MBJ. the recent announcement of investment into MBJ would act as a catalyst. Either the new investor will go to market and start buying up shres, which will eventually drive up the share price, or try to make block deals, or if the management decides to issue new shares. The last option will lead to dilution to existing share holders, but if the shares are issued at current higher prices then eventually the share price will rise. If you beleive in this counter, just keep holding for next 2 years and dont monitor on a daily basis.

chair melati often mentioned geo ' largely undervalued' . why don' t konsi sbb if truly undervalued. no use talk if konsi don' t sbb to support. also resinvest could hv actual buy up say us$100mil to support price, rather than paper talk the 1.5bil deal. shorties will dare not short if konsi and resinvest actively participate in mkt rather than in boardroom. q1 result otw 3 days. hope good report esp better div. otherwise all konsi behind mkt scene will not deter shorties suppress price for their bbs to pick. just opnn, dyodd. |

The situation looks like the shortists plan is to flush out those panicked sellers and profit takers before BBs gaining ground to buy at a cheap cheap prices and then pumping it up higher. And I believe BBs started to accumulate yesterday from 62 when the prices shit down by the shortists
