Yesterday was Ash Wednesday, the start of the 40-day Lenten fast for Christians. Time for all sides to fast and to pray for peace and good-will. Meanwhile, bear will abstain from eating salmon. Nuts and berries will be good enough for this time of fasting and repenting.
