There was even an anal-yst on Straits times asking for banks to cut dividends coz he is afraid banks like DBS will struggle. Lol
The forgot bank like DBS only pays out 50% of dividends and their tier 1 capital is super high much much higher than regulatory requirements. The quality if analyst these days are dissapointing. These people look at surface and then come up with nonsensical reports

Well, there was this guy on this forum, who after selling, claimed that share price will keep dropping because of dividends paid from capital reserves. Frankly, that was first and only time I heard that companies rich enough to return excess capital is a bad thing. |

Great company and new CEO is good. Was a steal at 37.50 recently (April 9) but now a little expensive - expect a dip back to $42 before entering and then a rally to $46 | ||||

despite the meltdown in wall st last nite, dbs today still can close positve, which is imho, a credible performance or perhaps due to ms Tan the ceo being voted as one of the 20 most powerful women in asia or is it btc scaling new height at abv 111k lol, ur guess is as good as mine, as i m totally clueless what transpired within dbs meanwhile 5 more days to the super duper yummy 75 cts div ya, generaltional wealth in the making, gahaha |
