Blame SGX for allowing CFDs and leveraged ETFs. And blame brokers for allowing absurd 20x margins. In my opinion, if SGX doesn' t want people to gamble, they should ban all these high leverage instruments.

sometimes really no choice for those who sold, with such a drastic drop of around 10 bucks, there bound to be margin call, and some of them not only vested in dbs alone so its always better to trade within your means but i have every confidence that those buying dbs are those with deep pockets with a long term perspective of dbs' s solid fundamentals.

DBS is planning to introduce a " capital return dividend" of 15 cents per share per quarter in 2025, as part of a three-year plan to manage excess capital, in addition to its regular quarterly dividends.
Here' s a more detailed breakdown:
Capital Return Dividend:
DBS will pay an additional 15 cents per share as a capital return dividend on top of its regular quarterly dividends.
Duration:
This capital return dividend is planned for financial year 2025 and is expected to continue in the subsequent two years, with DBS aiming to return excess capital through various mechanisms.
Total Dividend:
The total yearly dividend assumes that the bank' s quarterly dividend remains steady at 60 cents as well as its capital return of 15 cents per share per quarter
Purpose:
This initiative aims to manage down the stock of excess capital over the coming three years.
Other Mechanisms:
DBS expects to pay out a similar amount of capital either through this capital return dividend or other mechanisms in the subsequent two years.

hv been bleeding profusely since that lunatic' s liberation day dunt forget, its only a 90 days grace period so what after next, its anybody' s guess, presumably, its once bitten forever shy, reckon alot of dbs shareholders wil pare down their holdings nearer to the deadline. maybe yesterday' s spike in bond yield also changes the buffon' s mind a little bit. but well for now its safe, but exercise caution ya, u would never be able to read tt lunatic' s mind. huat to all holders |
