Singtel share price went up from $2.40 to $3.70 in September 2006. Then again from $2.40 to $3.50 in Feb 2009. Hopefully even more in 2024 :).

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Looking at the chart again. Singtel share price went up from $2.40 to $3.70 in September 2006. Then again from $2.40 to $3.50 in Feb 2009. Hopefully even more in 2024 :).

If the fundamentals and technicals are in line then all is good. If they are not in line then one has to question one' s opinion whether you are bullish or bearish. The strong volume traded does add weight to the breakout.

Additionally, the company mentioned potential share buyback/capital reduction for the first time. Two weeks ago on 15 August, the company published its first quarter net income of $690 million which was a 43% increase over the previous year and beat Bloomberg analysts' estimates of $646 million. In the week leading up to its earnings result, SingTel' s share price had rallied 6.3%.
