But if the company has done well and wants to expand, it can issue shares at a good price to raise capital. Lousy companies issue cheap shares just to attract capital. This only dilutes existing shareholders.

Asking for permission to issue 50% with the proviso not more than 20% will be non-premptive to existing investors. Such bad practice on SGX stocks as a whole. Investors like sheep to the slaughter here.
