they hv increase their assets tremendously by acq gee, obviously cash and bank bal got down, but stil respectable. konsi did not ask shhdrs to chip in their acqn. as long as future earnings are positive, got qtrly div assured. tink geo is destined for better profitability when 1q24 kick in. currently under non stop attack by shorties bec of 4q, but if can buy and hold at current price, tink future profits will be plus and plus.

at the group level, the cash + bank bal has decreased by usd 100M, from 234M to 135M, dunno whether they will deploy all this cash just to perk up their sp it remians to be seen. nonetheless they have the swiss deal to buy from them at 45 and 50 cts, so can rule out sbb for the time being,

if ur trading decision is based upon the analysis on this froum, think its just a matter of time u file for personal cap 11, first and foremost the result is real bad, without the one gain from bargain purchase the net proftis would have been disastrous to put it mildly, 2ndly, u can see from the past div records, it has been giving out dividends generously for the past few years. so biz is bad, and without the swiss deal, the sp would have been worst than now. no intention whatsoever to offend anyone. dyodd. |

Yes, agreed with you, lookimg at longer terms, Geo actually paid out quite a good dividends as coal prices has normalized. Plus now they have a cash rich European investor.

actually why everyone expecting high dividends? that 2021 and 2022 was the bumper years which the med stocks enjoyed as well.. now everything back to normal.. 2 cents a year is actually very good returns.. and their profits can be easily calculated based ont he daily coal rates.. and they are giving out 30%..

if at 1c div, many would be bullish. but at 0.6c, tink neither bullish nor bearish. tink bbs alrdy got feel of result, dat' s y ytd, price was din don at 39.0/39.5c in the whole afternoon, tho earlier in morn at 40/40.5c. out of total 11.2m done ytd: 1. @39.5c done 4.5m 2. @40.5c done 2.6m 3. @ 39.0c done 2.1m 4. @ 40.0c done 1.8m 5. @ 41.0c, done 0.1m tink geo will cont din don at 39.0/39.5c for a while, until good news propel it hi-er, such as ReInvest makin 1st tranche purchase 45c, or another profitable shipment from GEE, or konsi sbb upwads etc. til then, be prepared to be bored by the din don of shorties for bbs to collec cheap. jus opnn, no offence to bears/bulls.

Lol, I'm expecting many of them planned to sell. I believe Swiss BB will be waiting at the bottom end to buy more shares. We have to look at the future FY but not FY23 as we already knot expecting very good results. during the middle of last year Geo already mentioned they are expecting to export 8 million tons.
