SCIL has just broken the trendline as shown. As the volume is low and the break was during the last few minutes, one cannot be sure if it will stay on. For information, only the retailers are buying up during the 1st week of February.

As a investor, we should alway have an inquisitive mind looking at the financial statement and not afraid to ask questions if we don' t know, especially when the books are telling us one thing and companies are doing the other things. It is not uncommon to find power companies operating with low current ratio for reasons that they do not have heavy inventory but they might have big ticket items such as debts to be paid. We do not think SCIL would face financial difficulties but it is better to find out.than to be sorry.

I am suggesting to you to explain why the group is operating at a net current liability level. The figure is deteriorating compare to last year. There is no use to scold other people for raising question that you don' t like.. For information, I have been trading and was thinking of adding more especially when it has broken the resistances with Institution buying. I believed that the price will go beyond 6 series but now not so sure. It is not always true that companies running at a net current liability will face financial difficulties but it is always a worrying sign. BTW, who can be sure that the company don' t have big ticket items unless he is one of the insiders.

No wonder SCI can' t give high dividend like KeppelCorp.錢 不 夠 用 Net Current Liabilities meaning (CL > CA): A company' s debts after its current assets, CA (= assets that will be used or sold within 12 months) have been subtracted from its current liabilities, CL (= debts that must be paid within 12 months)

The group is now running at a net liability of 770 millino for FY2023. It was running at net asset of 1.6 billion in which 1.4 was for sale. The current ratio has gone down from 0.8 in 1H23 ro now about 0.77. What should be the right figures for SembCorp?
