SHARE PRICE , not the amount that the price will corrrect after the bonus . DBS further illustrated that if the share price before bonus issue is $31.69 , then after the bonus issue it will theoretically correct to $28.81 . Hence , the TEBP of $28.81 is greater than 50 cents which in turn will comply with the Listing requirement . Aiyo , how can DBS share price drop to below 50 cts after ex bonus . Compliance with Rule 838 of the Listing Manual 6.1 Pursuant to Rule 838 of the Listing Manual of the SGX-ST (the &ldquo Listing Manual&rdquo ), an issuer must satisfy the SGX-ST that the daily weighted average price of its shares, adjusted for the bonus issue, will not be less than SGD0.50. The issuer should compute the adjusted price based on the proposed bonus issue ratio and the issuer&rsquo s lowest daily weighted share price of the shares for a month preceding the issuer&rsquo s proposed bonus issue application.   6.2 Purely for illustration purposes, assuming that the application to the SGX-ST will be made by DBSH on 7 February 2024 (being the date of this announcement), the lowest daily weighted average price of the Shares in the month preceding 7 February 2024 would be SGD31.69 and accordingly, the theoretical ex-bonus price (&ldquo TEBP&rdquo ) would be calculated as follows: TEBP = SGD31.69 11 × 10 = SGD28.81 6.3 Accordingly, the TEBP at SGD28.81 will not be less than SGD0.50.

The bank' s net interest margin (NIM) saw a slight reduction, and net interest income grew by 4.7%. Despite slower loan growth and increased expenses due to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments, DBS managed stable asset quality and low credit costs. The dividend per share for 4Q23 was increased to 54 S cents, with expectations to maintain this rate into 2024 following a 1-for-10 bonus issue. Management plans to continue evaluating the bank&rsquo s capital structure to possibly return more surplus capital to shareholders.
