Results good, dividend good, bonus share good, everybody happy. But please dun get confused. Bonus share issue subject to shareholders approval during AGM (sure to approve la). Thereafter then set the cum bonus issue, x-bonus issue etc dates. Now the dates are for final dividend of 54c only. Dun blur blur after XD, sell away shares, expecting to get the dividend & bonus shares hor. |

Best to talk about how far it can climb la, 25-28$ difficult la unless a disaster strikes. Yield 6.1%(assume), dividend 2.16 (assume), giving price 35.44. (awesome) Price 35.44, nav 23.14 giving p/b 1.53. So far it trades between p/b 1.39-1.67 (expensive ?) hmmm, for me short term investors should run road given the headwinds. |

lol ... i also hope $28 so can pile it in. But I doubt so ... $2.18/$28 = 7.78% dividend. Market will charge in and price it up before we can buy.

bought 5k at 31.80 two days ago (not sure whether results will be good) and then another 5k at 32.16 this morning. damn ... should have listened to my gut feel and bought all two days ago instead of this " dollar averaging" nonsense. | ||||

Why are you concerned about 30 shares being " odd lots" ? While I haven' t tried, I think you can buy/sell individual shares.

imho, dbs is aspiring to be a S$100 Billion company in terms of mkt cap. Post bonus issue, the enlarged share cap of dbs will be arond 2.847 B shares, in order to be a 100b dollars company the sp would be around 35 bucks just my pov |

Keep first . After XD , you have 5830 shares , and $ 2,862 cash dividen . Buy 170 shares after the XD if say the price is $29 , you pay $4,930 , means you top up around $2,000 after collecting dividens . You end up with 6,000 DBS ahares after that .

wow really specticular results and a good ang pow of 54 div plus bonus issue of 1 for every 10 held. i was wrong in my prior posts that state dbs div will be around 48 cts. but i m pleased to be proven wrong, lol |

Hi Guys need advice Have 5300 DBS DBS announced bonus shares of 10: 1 which means after XD, will have 530 bonus. The 30 shares will become odd lots. Should I sell the 300 shares before the XD or to buy 700 shares to solve the odd lots issue. XD on 5 April Many thanks |

If for some reason the share price now chiong to $40 before the XD , then after XD the price will be approximately $40 - $4 - $0.54 = $35.46 . I hope that explains . |
