Yup. Want buy no scare. Want scare no buy. I am looking at this stock for the biggest return in 2024. Hope I am right. They held a AGM just to authorize a 10 million share buy back and the company is flushed with $800 mil cash if I am not wrong.

Closed at the high $13.30 :) And they have not even started their 10m share purchase. Time to ride the recovery all the way back to $14 then $15 then $16 :)

With the company' s proposed 10 mil share buyback, pretty sure the smart shorts are beginning to cover back their borrowed scrips. This will be the company to watch for recovery play. Buy the DLC longs for leveraged returns :) |

Interesting that Venture announced the proposed buyback of 10m shares on Thur (30 Nov) but did not start buying on Fri (1 Dec). Will continue to monitor progress. | ||||

Hopefully, the share buyback plan up to 10 million ordinary shares of the company could be executed in large volume and not to waste time (apportunity cost) like previously a few lots at a time.

Venture Corp proposes to buy back up to 10 million shares
VENTURE Corporation said on Thursday (Nov 30) that its board of directors has established a share buyback plan to purchase up to 10 million ordinary shares of the company.
This plan was authorised by the board on Nov 29, following the approval of Venture&rsquo s shareholders of the share purchase mandate at the annual general meeting on Apr 27, the company said in a bourse filing.
Under the mandate, the company can buy up to about 14.5 million shares, which translates to 5 per cent of the total number of issued shares of the company as at the date of the mandate.
Venture&rsquo s board said that the purchase of its shares, under the share buyback plan, will be made only in circumstances where it is considered to be in the best interests of the company.
Purchases or acquisitions of shares will not be made in circumstances which would have or may have a material adverse effect on the financial position of the group, or affect the listing status of the company on the Singapore Exchange, the company added.

You miss the point my friend. Just scroll back the chart further back for HK land and see how the price performed when they initiate the stock buyback. I am not talking about fundamental here :)
