So far no bad news. Only good ones. The price has been fallen maybe because of poor market sentiment as US and China markets are all not doing well lately. For US market, one would expect a correction to come. As for China and HK, they are trying very hard to revive the economy. Good thing is a market crash is not on the horizon. Technically, Keppel has formed another rising expanding wedge which is bearish according to the textbook. But it can still continue to go up until the bottom of the expanding wedge is broken. Keppel Corp subsidiary secures 65% stake in JV firm that holds Hanoi retail property The stake has an aggregate consideration of over $70m (VND1.23b). VN Prime Vietnam Co., Limited (VNPV), Keppel Corporation&rsquo s wholly-owned subsidiary, acquired a stake in a joint venture firm, ProjectCo, which will hold a retail property in Hanoi, Vietnam. In a bourse filing, Keppel Corp. the project is &ldquo part of a mixed-use commercial development, which is under construction and slated for completion in 2025.&rdquo The consideration will be payable in cash in two tranches. Binh Minh Investment and Trading Development Joint Stock Company secured a 35% interest in the ProjectCo. The consideration was arrived at on a willing-buyer, willing-seller basis, taking into account, amongst others, the adjusted net asset value of VNPV&rsquo s Interest, based on the agreed value of the Project attributable to VNPV&rsquo s Interest. $1 = V$17,520 |

Keppel Corp acquires 65% stake in a project company that will hold a retail property in Hanoi for $70 mil
Keppel Corporation announced that Keppel Land&rsquo s wholly-owned subsidiary VN Prime Vietnam (VNPN) is acquiring a 65% stake in company to be incorporated (project company) which will hold a retail property in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The Project is part of a mixed-use commercial development, which is under construction and slated for completion in 2025.
VNPV will acquire 65% interest in the project company for an aggregate consideration of approximately VND1.23 trillion ($70 million), subject to completion adjustments. The consideration will be payable in cash in two tranches. Binh Minh Investment and Trading Development Joint Stock Company will hold the remaining 35% interest.
The consideration was arrived at on a willing-buyer, willing-seller basis, taking into account, among others, the adjusted net asset value of VNPV&rsquo s Interest, based on the agreed value of the project attributable to VNPV&rsquo s Interest, which was approximately VND1.23 trillion as at Mar 31. Completion of the acquisition is subject to the satisfaction of conditions precedent (including but not limited to the obtaining of the requisite approvals).
None of the directors or controlling shareholders of the company has any interest, direct or indirect, in the acquisition, other than through their shareholding interests in the company.

Yesterday' s trading sentiment was greatly affected by the hefty drop in HSI. Locally, SembCorp' s fall of about 5% pulled Keppel down altogether. SembCorp' s price action was caused by a fake news that its earnings from Conventional energy plants will be greatly affected by lowering of Singapore' s electricity tariff in the coming months. Keppel unit partners Petronas&rsquo Gentari for sustainable energy solutions in South-east AsiaTHE infrastructure unit of Keppel Corporation : BN4 -2.7% has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Petronas&rsquo renewable energy arm, Gentari, to jointly explore specific sustainability-linked opportunities in South-east Asia. These include renewable and low-carbon energy projects, as well as electric-vehicle charging infrastructure.
Other possible areas of exploration are facilitating mutual support in market access and enabling mutual capability development, said Gentari on Thursday (Jul 6). Both parties will also explore potential collaboration in energy-as-a-service (EaaS) opportunities, such as energy efficiency and energy management projects. Before KepCo can show that its financial situation is not deteriorating like what they were reporting in 1Q2023. KepCo will continue to be iunder pressure. Update Of Civil Action Regarding Ownership of Land Plots in Jakarta Keppel Corporation Limited (the ?Company?) refers to its announcements on 14 February 2022 and 30 March 2023 (?Announcements?), in relation to a civil action commenced by an individual, Raden Saleh Abdul Malik ("Claimant?), against PT. Kepland Investama (?PT. Kepland?) (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company).
