Looking at the market capitalisation of GEMS, Stanmore & Ravenswood Gold mine, my target is $1.50. It may sound high but these 3 assets market capitalisation r real value, thus no reason Widjaja family can justify to give a low ball offer. Any offer in SGX needs an independent financial auditor n the Board to recommend whether is it fair to all investors.

From my analysis since abt few weeks before the Golden Energy made the announcement of buyout till now most of the shortists lost money. Some who did naked short lost big time becoz SGX did the forced buyback at high price. Fundamentally Golden had transformed into a big cap blue chip stock with ridiculous cash flowing in each quarter. Widjaja family knows this is a price catch, why shares the huge profit/dividends in the coming quarters n years .. why not take it private while the SGX market price for GEAR is still very very cheap! |
