I do have some SM shares. But I am not holding beyond what I can swallow.I am preparing to hold it for long term. Certainly SM would have to undergo consolidations. Who knows in time to come, the dividend yield is much more than sustainable.Even if it only gives a $0.01 dividend, that works out to be 12%, based on my average entry price. Am I too much? How about 8% instead?Besides, I am sitting on capital appreciation now.Apart from that, more calls buy from brokerage firms are expected after mergerAnd, from the corporation' s viewpoint, as TH owns more than 50%, it is highly possible that SM becomes a prime vehicle for TH in consolidating its associations with SM. |

No matter what, the price must be at least 0.124 which is the TERP which they promoted to get shh to subscribe the 0.08 rights. The price needs to move up from here. Break 0.10 convincingly and then 0.11 and final sprint to 0.124 and halt for the merger announcement at NAV. How about that for a script? 😊

I am not sure he was referring to the terms of exchange for SM value at 20 cents per share. If that's the case we need to know the NAV of KOM. A takeover for SM is unlikely as KEPPEL is divesting to become asset- light. Let's wait for this guru to surface again.

Most likely the merger may be based on Book a value using 2022 FY as benchmark.
This may favour SM as they have a huge chunk of cost already provided in 2021 and will reverse back. Book Value is around 0.12 plus and the correct book value after writing back should be 0.15. Not sure about this. Perhaps better can comment. |
