Investor999, dont waste time replying to his posts lah. He' s been proven to be inaccurate ever since his final posts in CapitaLand Forum. He predicted on the last trading day of CapitaLand that share price would hit $4.10 but the closing price turned out to be a mere $4.02. He predicted that CICT share price would hit $2.35 by end December 2021 but CICT is hovering around the $1.99-$2 price range these past days. I' m of the view that people who are not vested in a certain share but tend to post incessantly are either senile or delirious or both.

When SIA corrects down it does not go back to the previous low.
More like it is finding a support somewhere in between.
I guess ( gues only ah) that 4.91 is the support.

I think so far, there are no confirmed cases of Omicron here, only suspected ones. If once got confirmed there should be a scare even though we oredy expected it to come soon, but there should be a knee jack reaction to push SIA down towards 4.80. imho | ||||

SIA to replace Boeing freighters with fuel-efficient Airbus A350FsSsingapore Airlines (SIA) will replace its fleet of Boeing 747-400F freighters with the newly launched, more fuel-efficient Airbus A350F freighter aircraft.The national carrier has signed a letter of intent with the French planemaker to purchase 7 A350F freighters, with options for another 5, the mainboard-listed airline group said in a bourse filing on Wednesday (Dec 15). It added that the deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, making SIA the first airline to operate this new generation widebody freighter aircraft. The freighters, under the agreement, will be delivered in place of 15 A320neo and 2 A350-900 passenger aircraft that are in its order book. This allows, SIA noted, the airline group to manage its capital expenditure, while continuing with the essential freighter renewal. The A350F can carry a similar volume of freight as the Boeing 747-400F, but burns up to 40 per cent less fuel and features a longer range. The renewal comes as the group reported a record cargo-flown revenue of over S$1.8 billion for the first half of financial year 2022 or up 51.2 per cent, amid capacity crunch in air and ocean freight. Cargo has cushioned the financial impact of the pandemic on SIA as air travel has been hit. Goh Choon Phong, SIA' s chief executive, said: " The pandemic has underscored the importance of investing in the cargo business, and bolstering the SIA Group' s diverse revenue streams. Air cargo also plays a vital role in keeping open global supply chains, especially to transport essential goods during these times." Cargo operations registered a monthly load factor of 87.2 per cent in October - up 1.7 percentage points year-on-year - as loads measured by freight tonne-kilometres surged by 58.1 per cent and capacity rose 55 per cent, SIA' s October operating statistics released on Wednesday showed. Its passenger capacity measured in available seat-kilometres, meanwhile, rose 6 per cent month-on-month to reach 34 per cent of pre-pandemic levels, while passenger traffic (revenue passenger-kilometres) was 13.9 per cent higher. Its passenger load factor, measuring the percentage of available seating capacity filled by paying passengers, improved by 1.4 percentage points month-on-month as a result of stronger demand to Europe and the Americas due to the quarantine-free vaccinated travel lanes. SIA shares closed 1 cent lower at S$4.92 on Wednesday, before this filing was made. |

i think this week is the nov passenger-traffic figures and should be better. should hover between 4.9 and 5. if sia comes down to 4.8, indeed christmas sale. a lot depend on usa fda report which should be not be too bad judging by recent news on current vaccines againsts omicron.
