The language became more and more vile, towards personal attacks, from both sides. Certain members were hell bent on insulting others. It took much longer than I expected to have it locked. I am just surprise it was not deleted which seems to be the norm when things like that happened. DYODD, not happy don' t buy. See values then buy. Or short or whatever you like. And no need to repeat everything every hour or day. A member did that in another thread and was really disliked by many. Countless of threads deleted later, I think he was finally banned. 何 苦 ?

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	There are many purposes of share buy back. Not just to show confidence or jack up share price. The latter will rarely work. The management seems to buy back to beef up it a treasury shares and they foresee profitable 2022. They have the performance shares plan (psp) for their key staff. Such shares rewards will be drawn from the treasury shares. The source of treasury shares is from share buy back. If they don do it now, they may have to buy at a higher cost later. The top management, though underperforming, they are not classroom dolts. They know what they are doing. Rest assured. I can speak for them. Let this matter rest and this should be a good signs of more goods to come.

When a company is not doing well and due for merger, they may do the same to reduce future payout. There is a fine balance here as it might trigger a runaway escallation in price. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Do you seriously think company buy back can " support" its own stock? I can' t understand when SHs cry for company to buy back its own share, like in Medtec for instance. It will never work. In fact that only shows the management needs to be fired cause they are destroying the SHs' value. Just look at how TG tried to play its stock price. From split to buy back (burning 1+B RM). And what happened? When it went on a spree to buy back I already said it' s silly and one should stay away.
