Most of the time stock price goes up looking at future potential gain... (take tesla for example... Previously lose money for many quarters but share price keep shooting higher, market see good future in EV. Currently SCM is losing money, would market think it is turning around to start making money soon? If it is not I don't see why anyone would pump it up. A merger news with KOM might just change the market prospective... KC is more desperate to cut off its gangrenous KOM due to impending long drawn litigation case SCM being decoupled from SCI, will also be keen to merge with KOM to form a world class mega yard to take on new projects clean energy type. Anyway by merger, it will seem KOM will relinquish and renounce the cash back to KC with the remnant for working capital. KC May declare special dividend to reward their shh. Minusing the cash, it will be left with 50-50 grouping. Share value of SCM should be pumped up to book value of about 124/140 to par the merger at book value. Then consolidate. If so, TH will be 37/38% of merges entitiy. (55%SCM/20% KC?) Still very substantial. The above is an hypothesis. Who dare it not crystallize at least some portion of it?
