SembMarine uses $430.0 mil of net proceeds from rights issue to repay loan facility
SembMarine has, on Sept 27, announced that it has used $430.0 million of the net proceeds raised from its rights issue in 2021 to repay its loan facility.

The company, on Aug 23, received approval from the majority of its shareholders to raise $1.5 billion through a renounceable underwritten rights issue with an issue price of 8 cents per rights share.
Startree Investments, a Temasek subsidiary, announced a mandatory conditional general cash offer to acquire the remaining shares in SembMarine it does not own, at 8 cents per share on Sept 22.

Selling at 8.1c wld mean making 1.25% profit in 2 weeks Selling at 8.2% wld mean making 2.5% profit in 2 weeks Selling at 8.3c wld mean making 3.75% profit in 2 weeks Selling at 8.4c wld mean making 5% profit in 2 weeks Really good returns for such a short investment. Many subscribed at 8c, hoping that temasek wld offer MGO of > 12c and good news soon. 1st hope is dashed. Let us hope SMM announces good news by early Nov. If no good news by then MGO expires. Guess where 18,000,000,000 shares will be heading? So let us be [patient and see whether got good news by early nov and where price heads. My guess to your question is SMM will trade between 8c to 8.3c for this week. I may be wrong and those who hope for 8.7c may be right

Reverse split of 10 become 1... So example 10b shares become 1b. CITIBANK did that during 2009 financial crisis when it dropped to less than 1 usd. Reverse split by 10x become a near 10 dollars stock again.

Consolidate. Unlikely it will happen soon as it seems unreasonable, first by diluting/issuing more shares, then immediately ordering a consolidation. Really sounds like a scam, although in future we will not rule out. Unlikely to happen anytime soon
