I think all Mariners should not get carried away.
I do not see the TH will offer above 8 cents.
Rather, tmr will be a day of absorption for those quickie rights dumpers.
My view is, once the absorption is about done, the price must go above 10 cents and near the TERP.
With all the hype and assurance by the company, if the price does not go above TERP, I don see any difference between a real life cheat and a scam here.

Episode 1: offer at 8 (as stated in the circular)
Episode 2: Absorption of rights shares submarine below 9.
Episode 3: Take off thereafter
Episode 4: some news release (Beside KOM deal maybe). Deal probably be merger rather than same mechanism as SCI chapter. I guess no more freebie shares to Keppel shh. A merger which both sets of shh holding shares in a merged entity. Or part cash part shares? Not sure really
Episode 5: post merger. Share consolidation should be imminent at this stage. I guess price should be in the region of 15 to 20 for a consolidation

With singapore opening up, my take is the worst should be over for SCM.

Around 1.6B excess share that can happliy sell at 8.2 and 8.3 cts, think need another week or so to utilze.

1. MM/BB collected massively from 81/87 before 22/9 and during rights trading from 0.0001 to 0.005 (or 81/85 at conversion)

2. Absorption (day 1, 22/9) average about 82/83

3. Net avg, should be around 83.

If they (MM/BB and TH) are of different group, why must the former sell back to the latter in the MGO and take in a loss?

If so, they will be COLLUSION at the highest realm. If so again, it means TH is up to ill design of wanting to take SCM private but??

Taking it private is not going to happen, my views again:

1. Dbs is the other underwriter at 8. The arrangement for DBS to be partially taking the rights is a deliberate calibrated step to prevent all rights sub shares fall into TH hands ending up more than 90% and making it a de facto Compulsory acquisition.

2. Many shh from prior prior prior batches at very very very high price, will not be happy if CA happens. We will see many of them in Hong Lim Park. The Evergrande debacle saw many China Chinese out in the public protesting. Nobody can take such things for granted in Singapore. Our think-tank scholars will agree with any possible scenarios.

Unlike Hyflux, TH is in SCM. The grand plan is to make SCM merge with KOM to create a world class mega yard as the next direction is clean energy (global warming is huge topic).

Absorption may end on Friday or at most next week and SCM train should depart by then. Whether depart to Horland or to Promised Land, it is everybody?s guess.

But as far as I am concerned, I am on the train, my stakes is huge. Probably seated near the VvIP cabin.

emasek makes mandatory general offer of S$0.08 per share for Sembcorp Marine
TEMASEK Holdings has made a mandatory conditional general cash offer to acquire all the issued and paid-up ordinary shares in Sembcorp Marine (Sembmarine) Sembcorp Marine: S51 -2.35%, after Temasek' s stake in the latter was raised to 46.6 per cent from 42.2 per cent due to its rights issue.
 
The offer is in line with Rule 14.1 of the Take-over Code, where any entity controlling 30 to 50 per cent of a company must make a mandatory general offer if it raises its interest by more than 1 per cent within a period of six months.
 
Through its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Startree Investments, the offer is made at a price of S$0.08 per share in cash, which is in line with the rights issue price, Sembmarine said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.
 
It said Startree intends to keep Sembmarine listed on the Singapore Exchange following the completion of the offer.
 
But it also noted that " Startree reserves the right to re-evaluate its position, taking into account, among other things, the level of acceptances received by Startree in respect of the mandatory general offer and the prevailing market conditions at the relevant time" .
 
Startree was issued 9.3 million rights shares as a result of its undertaking in the rights issue, which raised its aggregate shareholding in Sembmarine by 4 per cent.
 
Sembmarine expects it will electronically disseminate the offer document between Oct 6 and Oct 13, and the offer will close 28 days after posting of the offer document.
 
Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) has been appointed as sole financial adviser to the offeror in connection with the mandatory general offer.

TH doesn' t want to take over lar, they oredy mentioned time and again, want SCM to be listed, so the 8cts offer is like never offer. But some SH might sell at 8.2 or 8.3cts after listening to some forumer here frightening them with 5cts or 6cts or even some mentioned going 3cts, so they panic and might sell at 8.2cts yesterday. My advise is dun just listen and be frighten by pp, do you own analysis and make yr own decision. Who know some may frigten you and for all you know they are on the BUY queue waiting for you to sell....dyodd

As i said too much volality, now watching. Manfred very smart, said will come back in Jan 2022.
I bet you he is monitoring behind the screen/scene.

Now they say after MGO offer over, it will drop below 8c. If things are so easily predicted by forumers here. Then how come majority of investors lose money

 Alert Admin 		There is no more rights already expired, if you subscribe you should get the shares you applied for in CPD. You saw new shares in CPD account already? You can sell them using any trading acc linked to CPD account. Poems Cashplus acc is not CPD acc. Check with your broker.
