 Alert Admin 		Unless oil futures prices crash to below $50/-, small fluctuations of oil futures prices will not affect Rex prices...so long as Brent stays at or above $70/-...my take is absolutely no effect if oil stays above 70/-. .........But strangely, if oil prices go up more, there will be effect....as market interprets as higher profits. For this week and next, focus is on 1H2021 results....anytime soon...maybe earlier...this week...hahaha

It is not bad news. As an update on Oman production, it tells us 2 things. First point is that production is on track in July despite covid situation. Second point is that second half 2021 is on track to be a good and profitable 2nd half of 2021. Do the maths or roughly run through blesskemum's computation. Even if account for variance, the obvious conclusion is that Rex is not a crap stock. Rex is profitable and with the average high oil prices in past 6 months, the 1H2021 will be spectacular. At this moment, Rex cannot disclose the 1H2021 results, so it is using the production update to tell us hints...sort of like profit guidance....

BP shares were headed for their best performance since February on Tuesday, after the oil giant announced $1.4 billion in share buybacks and a dividend boost following upbeat results.

BP reported an underlying profit on a replacement cost basis of $2.80 billion that easily beat forecasts for $2.15 billion. It also increased the dividend for its second quarter, and said the share buybacks would be executed before the release of third-quarter results..


&lsquo &rsquo BP  isn&rsquo t quite throwing caution to the wind, but the company&rsquo s steady as she goes approach has been infused with optimism as higher oil prices make immediate prospects look brighter,&rdquo said Susannah Streeter, senior investment and markets analyst, Hargreaves Lansdown.
