OCEANUS Group has invested an undisclosed amount in Universal Aquaculture, a newly formed deep-tech company with an indoor farming facility. Through this investment, Oceanus will focus on breeding Vannamei prawns, said the seafood and fast-moving consumer goods value-chain manager in a regulatory update on Saturday. Guys, I was searching in Google for news regarding universal aquaculture white shrimp and I came across a online merchant call "OurPasar" selling whiteshrimp. Country origin is from Singapore and it able to deliver live prawn. Stock will come in mid-end July which collate with most of the news report. Right, Al Fun ageee! Ocanus is not a food tech company. it has big ponds which they grow abalone. which takes at least 7 years to harvest. and they are on the watch list. It would have been out of the woods by now. SGX doesnt take that long. and these guys have whistle blower policy.. means they dont trust the employees, who must be living in deplorable containers. abolone soon will be surplus suply. yes you are right.. price will go to basic as .026. the managment have made thier money by pumping up the shares. they want to hire IT guy?? may be they want to put a chip on their abalones so as to find their ultimate location!

Thanks for response. Agree on some points but not all. As I have also mentioned in this thread before, the blockchain plan does not really make sense to me. In fact blockchain do not make sense to me in any SME or even certain businesses regardless of the scale. As for comparing to Tesla or Google, i am just raising an example on growth stocks. Believe me, the story that Amazon spins in the 1990s while they are still selling books is even more farfetched. Now no one is laughing. Other points raised by you are valid to a certain extent. Will do my own due diligence. Cheers.

Hi Peter, saw this news and thought it may be helpful to Oceanus. Over at RP, researchers have concocted a cheaper feed for abalone, using okara as the main ingredient. Juvenile abalone fed on the okara-based food weighed about 25 per cent heavier than those sustained on commercial feed, and the abalone shells were a more vibrant purple. Dr Chiradip Chatterjee, senior lecturer at the polytechnic' s School of Applied Science, and his team developed the food pellets using a technology that included pre-treating the okara under high temperature and mixing it with key nutrients. " Abalone fed by commercial feed is less striking in their colour, more greyish... Their vibrant shell colour can increase their selling potential." I don't compare Oceanus with Amazon/Google/Tesla. I compare Oceanus with Dow Jones/Nasdaq/S&P 500. Kindly make more appropriate comparisons for Oceanus.

it is crystal clear that farming is moving towards industrial 3.0 Technology will revolutionize the traditional method progressively. Oceanus is in the right direction. i' m waiting to see the day when they were to be on national TV " focus point" . |

It is logical for us to assume that under geopolitical situation in Malaysia, Indonesia and under present convid 19 circumtsances, Malaysisa and Indonesia will implement sever, even extreme policy meausres to deal with their food shotage before they speak of export. Can we safaely assume our supply food chains will not be curtailed. With Japan releasing more toxic water into the ocean, inland farming is the solution. If the management of oceanus did it right, we will profit. chhers | ||||

Dear friends, Stay focused. The least I would worry is the fabrication of the accounts. With the recent spate of accounting rauds, ACRA is coming hard on the external auaditors and the onging litigation suits against auditors, This should be your least concern. the share price is in a doldrum because all the retail investors are sufferring from over expectation fatigue. If oceanus can churnout a spaarkling result for this half wyear, it will be a bonus issues for all the retail investors. I normally analysed the happenings in the company. Just take my opnion with a pinch of salt. I notice that there is a lsight surge in the hiring process. Unless the finanancials position of the company has improved vastly, there is no reason for company to embark on employment when all companies are freezing on employment of workers. During April AGM, the management had expressed that there is no known activities contingent or ortherwise that will impact the financial standing of the company. The management should know and an expressed an opinion if there is any subsequent events dtrimental to the company. I must reiterate our months had elapsed ie from Januaryt to April 2021, the management already know the financial acitivtiesof the comapny. If they stated otherwise, SGXco will take a serious view. Moreover if the exteranl auditors are good they will also look at the four months inancials though not in detail before they expressed an opinion. Based on my analysis, it is unlikely that the company will suffer a substantial loss. I expect the result to be good. This is my opinion and my analysis. Cheers |
