If anyone is interested just go and hunt down when they last posted in this thread and see for yourselves the sentiment of this counter when they posted and see if anything they said came even close to the realities. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Yes, i agree that the delay of the Hyundai and Daewoo merger will impact the timeline of the Sembmarine and Keppel OM merger. The last reported timeline for the Korean yards merger is by end June....I am still waiting for update over at Korea before re-calibrating my merger timeline. I suspect Sembmarine' s mgt is not looking forward to the merger as well. Probably part of the reason why they extended a S$600mil loan to Transocean. But the ball is solely in the court of Temasek and KC. Sembmarine' s shareholders (ex-Temasek) will than have to decide whether to approve or reject the tabled merger terms. Thats when SCM' s mgt can give their 2 cents worth. Temasek is pressuring KC to agree to their terms by suppressing KC' s share price. KC is resisting... Getting anti-trust approval for Sembmarine/ Keppel OM merger will be much easier as they are not dominant in any offshore segment. Hyundai and Daewoo, on the other hand, is dominating the new build LNG carrier segment.   pkli899      ( Date: 22-Jun-2021 10:34) Posted: Even if there is going to be a merger eventually, it' s not going to happen near term.
