x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Let me give it a try: One  warrant gives you the right to buy one mother share at a fixed price, up to the expiry date. After the expiry date the warrant is worthless, junk. Take for example the W230925 warrant. This warrant gives you the right to buy one share, at 5c up to 25 Sept 2023. A warrant can have a value, even if you don' t exercise it. Currently, the mother share is at 7.6c, above the exercise price of 5c. Therefore, it is in the money. Theoretically, the warrant is worth 2.6c. But how much people are willing to buy and sell it is based on their perception of how well the mother share will do before the expiry date. The buy/sell price may be more or less than the theoreticl value. Take for example the W211112 warrant. The expiry date is 12 Nov 2021, and the exercise price is 8c. At the current mother price of 7.6c, theoretically, the warrant is out of the money, therefore, worthless. But, surprisingly,   this warrant is selling for 0.6c. So, people think that there is no problem for the mother share to go above 8c before the expiry date. As for exercising the warrant, frankly, in more than 30 years of buying/selling shares, I have never exercised a warrant. I guess you exercise a warrant if the expiry date is approaching and you think the mother share is going to be worth much more in future, so you don' t want to sell the warrant at the current price and it is cheaper for you to exercise the warrant than to but the mother share from the market.
