 Alert Admin 		Fundamental investing is passe. Say so much also no use, now is just fifo and fomo. See tesla, gme, bitcoin, thats where the serious (fed supported) money is, fundamental play is just short traps only, money is cheap, and like warran buffet say, the (US) market (maker) can stay (short) irrational(ly) longer than you can stay (mentally) solvent.

Somemore nowadays fundametal good doesnt mean its accurate also, just see hyflux, noble, EHT, midas, and all the s-chip, do so much home work for what?

Qn1: There could be many possibilities. Maybe shortist come into play and giving out fake rumours. Restricted buying from brokerage firms, etc. If you suspected foul play, pls check with the authorities.
Qn2-8 Please do not try to sound saint on what the investors should do or think. It is their choice on whether if they should realise their profit or cut loss.    If one comes into the market, one has to be alert and enter the market with eyes open. One has to bear the risk if things may not go their way. We just have to do our own due diligence. I really do not understand what is your motive of stirring up unnecessary emotions here by asking certain questions. Every investor should come in with a trade plan before entering any stock.

Qn 9- For this question, it is up to the investor to decide for themselves. But why compare with JT only?

If you want to try to sound saint- the only advice to give here is to ask the forumers to trade with care and not comparing with any other stock. As every stock has its own characteristics and risks.

 Alert Admin 		I bought extra at 5.5, 5 and 3.6 .   Had chance to offload when 4.x but skip.

May have bought more at 2 cents if not for trading houses restriction.   But also don' t feel comfortable pumping more.

Think I have to go long for this stock ( my worse ever paper loss stock ).

I am kind of more comfortable with less volatile stocks and made good money from them.   Prior to this, my wors paper loss stock was Singtel.

I can' t complain, after selling away lots of profitable stocks, I am still up by 5-digit for the past year.

Will be patiently waiting for next quarter.

BB heard news about it being unstable ( can drop by 45.3% in one day so less number of them would enter to buy ).   Most likely, only good financial report next qurater would push it to 5 cents.

Personally, I entered purchasing only $12xx at 6.1 cents using spare money from profits of other stocks the day before it dropped by 45.3% from 6.4 cents to 3.4 cents.   The news on TV were reporting about it to viewers too.   So everyone in Singapore playing shares knows about this stock being unstable.   I believe only release of good news next qurater could push it up..... as much as I wish for it to go up fast, I think in our cases must go long.....

 Alert Admin 		We are in pretty situation(bought at 6) but different in our approaches... I got holdings at 6.1 too but when it was down to 3 cents, I double up 

offloaded when it was 4+cents 

when it was down to 2 cents, double up again.. no plan at all to offload at the moment

My ans to ur qn1: Pls ask the BB, i cant and unable to ans on their behalf.
My ans to ur qn2: You have misinterpreted my statement. What I had mentioned was that the sell down could be due to other unknown factors and fake rumours may have make it worse. I did not say sell down is PURELY due to fake rumours, which is a totally different meaning. Everyone knows what the impact of fake news can bring. Thats why we have POFMA. Hence fake rumours COULD also accelerate the fall of the share pr. That is my basis. With the news report available, it is up to u to interpret whether the rumours are fake or not.
My ans to ur qn3: To be logical, for any public clarification to be made will need to go through thorough investigation and that takes time. Also if a company were to clarify for the movement on its stock price- shouldn' t we the investors be more worried? Even the recent clarification is not about/due to the drastic price movement but the involvement of personal attacks and slanderous remarks on the CEO and his mgmt. Please get this clear.
 
In forums like this, everyone is free to share their viewpoints and opinions. It would be unethical to post  baseless malicious remarks that entail personal attacks and distort investors' decisions. As I mentioned before, pls be mindful and dyodd. If one wishes to step into the stock mkt, he must be mentally prepare to take on the gains and the losses, especially contra players. This is the cold hard truth. You cannot blame the company for the a decision which you had made.

I do not wish to argue. Let' s be more objective and move on

Questions 1. Why don't the big investors (BBs) verify the rumours with Oceanus management before the selldown? 2. On what basis do you make your assumptions that the selldown is triggered purely due to fake rumours & not profit taking? 3. On 1 Mar , the closing of share price is at 0.076 and on 8 Mar , the share price drop sharply to 0.044, and why there is no clarification being made over a period of 7 days? If clarification has been made earlier & timely, then perhaps this will not led to further selldown to as low as 0.019 on 10 Mar if your assumptions made that the selldown is indeed true due to fake rumours? Do you know how many contra players have suffered huge losses? Is the late clarification made on 12 Mar fair & justifiable to those victims who have already suffered huge losses and as a result they are now facing with restrictions to trade with their accounts?

The previous sell down from the top could have triggered a panic sell in the market which is fueled by fake rumours...This led to a major plunge within 2 days. Price movements like this is beyond what the company can control...hence there could be nothing to clarify about the drop. Speculation on price movement is not uncommon and will always be around. However, if you guys noticed, the clarification from the CEO came when baseless rumours involved personal attacks and slanderous remarks on the CEO and his management which discredit the efforts the team had put in to build up the company all these years. Now that the CEO had made his clarification public, I felt he was gentleman enough to pursue on the right issues that restore fairness to all stakeholders. If those who had made untrue comments here and think they were really speaking the truth, why would they want to leave this thread? Again, what are those people trying to show?

Oceanus refutes rumours of ' pump-and-dump' scheme, financial investigation and move to Catalist

OCEANUS Group on Friday refuted rumours about a purported move to the Catalist board, an investigation into the group' s financials, and its management being in a " pump-and-dump" scheme of the group' s shares, calling them " untrue and misleading information" .
The seafood supplier also said it will investigate the circumstances surrounding the information which has been circulating on instant messaging platforms and online forums, and pursue " all legal avenues" including but not limited to lodging civil suits and police reports.
According to Oceanus' bourse filing on Friday, one of the rumours claims that there is an application by the company to transfer itself from the Singapore Exchange' s (SGX) mainboard to the Catalist board. Oceanus said that this is not true, as it is seeking to exit the SGX' s watch list based on the financial exit criteria.
Another rumour claims that Oceanus' financial accounts are " inaccurate" and currently subject to investigations by the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD). However, Oceanus said that it is not aware of any investigations by the CAD.
Also, the company' s independent auditors, who are currently in the advanced stages of finalising their audit of the company' s financial statements for the year ended Dec 31, 2020, have not raised material concerns in respect of the financial statements.
To a third rumour claiming that Oceanus is seeking a mandatory suspension of the trading of its shares, the company said it is " not true" and that " there is no basis" for the statement.
Oceanus also refuted a rumour that its chief executive and management are colluding with institutional investors in a " pump-and-dump" scheme of the company' s shares, saying it is " not true" and that " there is no basis" for the statement.
The group&rsquo s clarifications come as its shares hit a new low for the year to date on Wednesday, continuing a downward spiral that started earlier this month.  Oceanus shares fell to an intra-day low of S$0.019  on Wednesday.
They have since rebounded and closed up 24.14 per cent at S$0.036 on Friday

Like that i kah Su abit I managed to dumping 6000 lots all my holding at $0.064 nia ..now try to talk down the price so that can buy back at lower ..

 Alert Admin 		Sure bo.... look at Nico Steel. SSH Value Capital Asset even sold at $0.001. It was eventually Delisted on 16/11/20 and still no payment to shareholders and no even a single letter to shareholder. My ~50million Shares are sunk in the Ocean Liao🥲 . Else can take the cash to support high tech farming!

Listing Rule 1309, which requires it or its controlling shareholder(s) to provide a reasonable exit offer for shareholders. It is requested to inform the bourse of the exit offer proposal " as soon as practicable but no later than one month from the date of the notification of delisting" , and provide updates on the status of the exit offer proposal.
