x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SCM was in no financial position to acquire any of the KOM businesses it planed to exit. This would have meant any deal would have hit shareholders one way or the other unless KOM was taking over. Not that this has been resilved. We left with a few positive outcomes 1) is the loss of a huge local competitor 2) A potential merger in future. As mentioned SCM cannot afford to buy Dev. Co. or Rig Co. so a possible solution is for TH to acquire, what' s left of KOM, the price tag of which has just become even smaller and then buy out minority shareholders of SCM, before they merge the two.

I said a few times I am probably the odd ball here who doesn' t think the merger is necessary or good atm. Future maybe hard to say. Hence let nature take its course. The news stopped talking about it long ago, and even then they were just speculating SMM price move was due to that. If you buy a stock based on that kind of information, good luck is all I can say. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I just checked their projects. SMM has only 2 ultra deep water drillship from their advance drilling rig solutions. And I think these 2 were from back in 2012 or 2014. Had been delayed multiple times, and are scheduled for delivery this year. Other than that, there is no more rigs projects. According to better, SMM has been moving away from rigs. I know China co is capable of doing at least semi-sub cat (and I think thanks to KC).
