I may be wrong, but i believe the days of SPH being traded at 1.00 is over. Personally I am looking at the next " spike" when market sentiments improve. The current price is still 50% off its 2020 high.

Price movements for SPH in 2020. It peaks on 8 Jan at 2.19. From there its downhill all the way to 1.09 on 30 July. From 3 Aug to 19 Nov it traded within a range of 1.03 to 1.05, a period of almost 4 months and on heavy volume. I believe this was the consolidation period as weak holders give in strong holders. The spike in price came on 20 Nov when the price suddenly shot up to 1.25 on a huge volume of 85 mil. Since then it was traded at around 1.10 level. Just sharing. Vested |

Hi Thiamm and rocketman, thank you for your concerns for me. Its deeply appreciated. I am ok. I have been in the market for 20 plus years n gone thru and survived all the major crashes. Though not always right but i have the habits of getting more rights than wrong. As for SPH, I am not looking too much on its media business. It is it' s other businesses that I am interested in. I could be wrong but personally I think the worse is over for the stock. May take time but I think the up trend is there. Anyway I am protected by my other counters ... Kimly Limited, Apac Realty, SingMedical and Vicplas. Got in near bottom n am still holding w the exception of Vicplas which I sold at 3 times my cost. I got into SPH only after it bounced off from the low of 99 cents. Since then I have averaged up slowly. The highest price i paid is 113 which i bought today. Anyway, thank you for your concerns. Bro are u vested I guess no. If no please give chance to longish who have been vested at high . Btw I am not those vested above $2.
If u are not vested . It goes up or down got no impact on you. So don?t everyday post waiting is free wait for $1. U can target other counter la. There are many counters in Sgx. I know forum got freedom of speech .but but but .

We are in the recovery phase of economy. The influx of liquidity and low interest rate will only push share prices to go up. Sph may not be a good counter to hold in the long term. But, its share price will only move higher in this rally. Unless something really bad happens, its share price will go up further. Of course, it will be a volatile market and it will not be a straight line uptrend. | ||||

If you believe the sti would March towards 3000 to 3200 next year, you should believe sph will exceed recent high of $1.32. It may move slowly to $1.32 and then $$1.50 or even higher. This is because in a bull market, all shares rise. Sph's advertising revenue has been on a declining trend since few years back. The share price will not go back to $4. If can hit $2, it will be a steal. Now, it is predominantly a property counter as advertising revenue forms only a small portion of its total revenue. As the chinese saying goes, broken ship is still worth at least 3 nails. I do not think the share price will go back to $1 unless the covid-19 vaccine is not effective against the new variant of the virus. The golden $1 was the low and it will not be back to this $1. From here, the share price will only test new high. However, selling pressure will be there. My investment journey started in early 1990s. I have gone thru the Asian Financial crisis, dot com bubble, Global Financial crisis etc and rode on the wave of recovery. During the recovery phase, lousy share will rise too. For those who lost small money on this counter, it will be wiser to sell and buy a stronger counter. For those who wish to hold on, it will not go back to $1. However, it personally thinks it will not cross $2 again in the next few years. In summary, I disagree with rocket man that it will drop back to $1. On the other hand, the share may not go too high. Between $1.50 and $2, it may be a good price to sell. $4 was the good old days. | ||||

From my years of observation, when you think it will go down, it will go the opposite direction in my humble opinion. Wait for the golden $1.32 , $1.50 , $2..... waiting is free..

I just did a switch from SPH to credit bureau Asia. See you guys....one is lousy uncertain company. One is company with a moat. I won't waste time here anymore. It's damn silly

SPH did break below the key pivot point of $1.10 a few days ago to 1.08 and now back abv 1.10. it could be consodilating for a breakout soon or if below 1.10 then all bets are off. The Key price to watch for SPH to continue to dream big is 1.10. Below 1.10 no eyes see la ! |
