Some reasons why SCI SH voted for demerged: 1. SCI and SCM become two focused companies 2. SCI is free of SCM 3. SCM gets recapitalised 4. SCM gets more TH support 5. SCI Shareholders get SCM distribution. Are those not good reasons for SCI to vote for demerger?

Oil prices rose more than $1 a barrel on Tuesday, supported by U.S. supply disruptions caused by an approaching hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico and an oil worker strike in Norway. Energy companies shut offshore oil platforms as Hurricane Delta strengthened to a Category 2 and was on track to reach the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday. It would be the 10th named storm to hit the United States this year, which would break a record dating back more a century. |

whoever get out of this crisis will gain in a post-pandemic economy. scm is definitely ready to take on new contracts. scm has emerged as a focused entity and demand is healthy. temasek setup seviora with s$75b and unvest more than us$1b in ant 9.8% of unsubscribed rights ~ s$200m is not much. rest and gogo ....

Although I have to say natural gas prices have been on a tear for the past month. Should help the energy companies' cashflow. Seems that the securitisation of FPSO and other energy assets is the trend now as energy companies aim to go asset lite. With SMM' s $2 billion cash hoard, they might be in a position to take equity stake in some energy/ offshore assets given the opportunity and package them later into a REIT. |

The crown jewel of SMM is their capability and reputation in off shore wind, which will do well irregardless of the price of crude oil and natural gas. Hope price stay below 15 cents so I could buy more in the next couple of weeks. |
