x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	It is quite apparent that most analysts were unwillingly to ascribe higher valuation (whether PE or P/BV) to SCI as of now. (On a separate matter, many analysts had missed out on iFast when it was only trading at around $1.00).   SCI is a well-diversified utility player or integrator where it is hard to find a comparable. Doesn&rsquo t this already suggest that it deserves to command a much better valuation compared to conventional utility players, which are already value at 1.5 P/BV (or more) or about 12 to17 PE (depending on the product offerings). Renewable energies have much higher valuation.   SCI already has its skin in the sustainability game and is well positioned to capitalize on future growth in fast-expanding sectors/countries. Just to give a flavour - Partnership with GDS Holdings on renewable energies for data centres in China. GDS&rsquo s clients include big boys such as Alibaba, Amazon, Huawei, etc. SCI had full 100% stake in SEIL. And so launching IPO is just a matter of time, seeking out the right window to do so. Conservatively, the Indian energy portfolio is worth $1.8 billion. A much higher premium should be accorded to renewable energies with the greater focus on ESG themes worldwide => SCI is fast expanding its renewable energy segment. Net profit from SCI&rsquo s renewable energy portfolio has increased by a CAGR of 67.6% per year from FY16 &ndash FY19. As a proportion of total net profit from Energy, this has increased from just over 2% to 8.4% in FY19. Going forward, SCI will grow their renewables energy footprint in key markets in Singapore, China, India and the UK.  Forays into new emerging markets with burgeoning population and economic growth => Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam Strong synergies between urban and energy segments => mutually reinforcing significant land bank of ~2600 hectares of scalable industrial, business, commercial and residential land to underpin future growth Stabilized EPS of > 20 cents should be achievable in the medium term. Stabilized EPS will translate to higher valuation, as dividend payout ratio can be enhanced further. Dividends should improve significantly going forward without the drag and overhang from SCM, driven by significant improvement in free cash flow, and stability of earnings from energy segment. It may not be appropriate to compute valuation based on past dividend payout ratio (e.g. in DCF modelling). Much stronger balance sheet => Gearing/debt ratios are set to improve going forward.   Covid19 vaccines would surely be developed and disseminated around the world. By then, hopefully, SCI would not be at the current extreme depressed valuation.     [I am not here to promote any stocks. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SCI is not a PURE energy play counter / yes its energy side is a cash cow esp here in Spore ( India listing will be a catalyst)  Infrastructure and waste mgt etc are also in SCI .  Best is to watch its Q3 result ( minus SMM now ) and see how each division composition ....which is why using energy PE/ or PB wld not be a true representation  for SCI . Vietnam&rsquo s Deputy Prime Minister His Excellency Mr Truong Hoa Binh was present to witness the commencement of this development located in Canh Vinh Commune of Binh Dinh Province. This is the latest of several VSIP developments clustered in Central Vietnam where the government is keen to draw investments through incentives for manufacturers and create employment to encourage economic growth. The development is within the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and encompasses 1,000 hectares of industrial zone with the potential for further commercial and residential development. The location is suited for labour-intensive manufacturing for textile, garment, furniture and wood processing, as well as machining and precision engineering industries. Through its joint venture entity VSIP Joint Venture Co (VSIP JVCo), Sembcorp Development has co-developed nine VSIP integrated developments across Vietnam with its long-standing partner Becamex IDC Corporation. The VSIP developments have attracted US$15 billion in total investment capital from 880 tenant companies. Companies operating in the VSIP developments employ more than 270,000 workers. Becamex IDC will take the lead in this latest development through its 70% held subsidiary Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company (Becamex Binh Dinh JSC). VSIP JVCo holds the remaining 30% stake in the company. Sembcorp Development&rsquo s 14.8% effective equity interest in Becamex Binh Dinh JSC is held through VSIP JVCo.More to come

With the exception of the entire Marine Category, the Energy Subcategory raked in a small loss.  Whereas Urban Subcategory brought in a 111% increase in Nett Profit, from S$18M (Y2019) to S$38M (Y2020)  Good for SCI to be more focused not just in Energy, but not to neglect the Urban Redevelopment as well!
