Morale of SCI management will also be higher since they are cleared on a massive problems for years to come. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Manage to cut off the tumour is a good first step. Be patient and SCI will be back. Utilities and other defensive segments will continue to see it grow. But it won?t be fast. Soon the effect of cutting off the tumour will be forgotten and with a better set of results post SCM, one will see better days ahead of the share price.

Shall wait if my TP of 1.70 to 1.75 could be reached before 10 Sept.    Is ok if i miss the boat. Or wait till new SMM shares started trading and dust settled then buy, so less elements of speculation involved. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	considering the worst case, only 4.27 smm shares instead of 4.92: ==>   4.27 x 15 cents = 64.05 cents. 181 - 64.05 = 116.95 for sci which is still cheap. Expected trading price is at least 120 for sci and can goes up to 140. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Bro, SCM is already making losses for past how many quarters? Or can put as how many consecutive years? That's the reason why it's share price is dropping from over $4 to $3, then to $2 to $1.50 and now only 20.5 cents after rights issue. Before rights issue still see 70 cents. All these losses already factored into the share price and plus the dilution effects that further erodes the share price from 70 cents to 35 cents to 20.5 cents. Everything is negative and thus we see the lowest of SCM currently. If there's any hope for it, be it new contracts or merger with Kep Marine unit, ppl will start to push it up from the lows, which is currently the lowest. Even if it still goes lower how much lower? Just buy within your limits and it's anyone's call, whether there's still hope for recovery or its at the end of the Era. But don't forget that the recapitalisation reduces it's debt, provide some funds for new two years, chances for new contracts especially if oil can recover, Saudi and those oil related countries won't want oil to stay low forever, it bites into their profits and thus the constant production cuts. And lastly, we know Temasek is now the biggest shareholder of SCM even when it's share price is at the lowest. (example, If the opposite happens, SCM share price at its lowest and Temasek sell away all its shares in SCM instead of taking up more shares ... how panic will shareholders be?) I still think the current situation is way much much better for a future recovery. Of course, buy within your own limits if you wanted to. If not, can always switch to other counters that gives more returns. Many medical and gloves counters are sure easier to make money, don't need crack your head here with SCM shares. Isn't it? They kitchen sink the first half with almost $190M of impairment so the 2H P& L will look good without all these exceptions and without SMM lossses.
