Singapore Airlines burns through half of S$8.8b cash raised in two months THU, AUG 20, 2020 - 10:10 AM Singapore Airlines burned through half of the S$8.8 billion it raised through share sales in just two months, highlighting how carriers' expenses keep incurring even as planes are grounded. Of the S$4.4 billion spent since mid-June, S$1.1 billion was used for operating expenses, maturing fuel-hedging trades and ticket refunds from canceled flights due to the coronavirus pandemic, the airline said Wednesday. About S$2 billion was used to repay a bridge loan facility, S$900 million to service debt and S$200 million to buy aircraft. The proceeds spent during the two months to Aug 14 are almost equivalent to the combined net losses made by Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways and Qantas Airways in the first half. As long as u participate in stk mkt, u r gambling. All the FA TA methods, are ways to help u rationalize if the share will go up or down. If u long, means u betting it goes up. If u short, u betting it goes down
No difference from going to casino or betting on horses. U see gamblers reading up on horses, the jockey etc.. just to guess which horse will win

share awards to executive should be average + a pecentage (to encourage good judgemetn forward) exercise at a future date. giving it at average of current price when co is in state of problem is eating shareholders. if they leave there is enough people wanting their jobs at current situations. | ||||

Let' s say SIA can fill up to 35% capacity starting from now till August 20/2021, is it possible to even breakeven? The overhedge and interest payments will obligate shareholders to take up another round of right issue. The hope that SIA will fly above $4.50 is pure fantasy. | ||||
