it will be stronger and stronger when we are nearing results. see the charts, these few days, volume is how high compared to historical past weeks? attention is obviously coming to this counter. when there is volume, prices then got chance to head up. no demand, got fundamentals also no use with high vol, price heading towards uptrend, this is a strong bullish build up patience guys!

I think July 17. But overall strength of STA Sing is building up as STA Thailand is catching up. Technically short term indicators in STA chart more constructive than STA Thai. Understand lately many Thai mkt participants prefer to trade another rubber company North East Rubber which is a highly speculative counter at lower share value price at about 4 Baht. Understand North East Rubber volume on minday trading was at least 350 million. But no worries, the rise in STA Thai will be slow and steady until reporting day. Dip buying is still better for choice as the underlying short term trend is still your friend with the medium to long term technicals well supported on better rubber fundmentals and humongous earnings contribution from STGT many quarters down the road. Please note short term market drawdown is healthy to correct mkt excesses before the next rise and STA most recent mkt correction of low at S$1.03/23.4 Baht is already over. If not mistaken, there was a big naked short by a/few market particpants on STA Sing about 5 million borrowed shares between S$1.03 and $1.15 open still to date. Let's hope they will start their buyback. My first price target will be above 41.20 Baht/S$1.80 all time high before end Sept. | ||||

Guys, i have been observing for the past few days closing STA thai, they closed at day high at Huge volume ( 4 to 5 mil share) at the last minute. Something is brewing i think.. Looking fwd to a gap up sson.. Cheers |

I am priveleged to have some insider info as I am international rubber trader with vested interest in STA. According to insider, STA will probably announce dividend anytime day after 2nd quarter result. STA is an extremely undervalued counter especially will be enjoying 56% of STGT every quarter profits in the 3rd quarter results after the July to Sept period thereafter. STGT has glove book orders already fixed until 1st half 2021 which is confirmed profits for STA as long as STA manage their rubber books well and proper. All I can say, STA as my business associate is a well managed company with factories spanning Thailnad, Indonesia and Burma. Lets relax and wait for the 2nd quarter results on 14 August whilst following the STA daily price movements to adapt and adjust our long positions when the need arises. | ||||

I am more to risk averse so that' s why I estimated S$50 mill from gloves biz instead of S$60 mill based on Hartalega' s figures. While how much STA makes in Q2 benefits me in a small way, just thinking if profitability does not increase by at least 33% (S$38 mill to S$50 mill), can STA' s target price be revised above $2? More immediate impact is disappointments for some investors and price down. Still hope for the best.

Frankly no issue for me as long as STA 2nd quarter profit potentially exceed their 1st quarter result. My estimation is a conservative figure. Anyway let the mkt decide. STA Thai closed firmer at 27 Baht. A slow and steady climb will serve me well and proper as I am a medium to long term investor to hold until 1st half June 2021. | ||||

Yr estimation of Net Profit THB 750 mill about S$33.75 mill for 8.25bn gloves is very low compared to Hartalega' s S$73 mill for 9.5bn gloves. Probably STA sells different type of gloves from Hartalega? Still find the estimate for glove biz too low and probably not interesting enough to investors. Just afraid if it falls below investors expectation of super profits.

My take is that since it is dual listing, on sgx it&rsquo s worth about 1.8B (exchange rate 1sgd=22 THB) so it is 39.6 B THB. Add together with the market cap on SET, 41B, total around 80B THB. STGT 120B half of it is 60B, so it&rsquo s still within acceptable valuation I Guess?
