x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi,  i believe the calculation shld be as follow:   - 6K (4K) total $24K (but u have to compensate the price of R) -  Cover at $4.4 (2K) total $8.8 - Cover at $4.07 (2K) total $8.140 Profit (without taken into rights) : $24-$8.8 - $8.140 = $7060 Pricing of rights : $1.06 (x6 because 4lots get 6 rights) = $6360 So, gain is $7060 - 6360 = $700. If the rights price keep dropping, u might lose more ... as u have to compensate 6 rights. kevin1804      ( Date: 13-May-2020 09:58) Posted: hi all, Need your advice on my situation: I shorted SIA quite a while ago at 4K shares @ 6 bucks. I closed 2K shares @ 4.4 (gain $3.2K).  Based on current price of $4.09, unrealised gain for balanced 2K is $3.8K. However, the price of my short position for SIA R (6K right) is $1.06, which means my unrealised loss for rights is ($6,360) That' s strange as the overall gain/(loss) is only 640 bucks. Based on my previous calculation, ex-right price is 4.4 bucks. If I short at 6 bucks, I should earn $1.6 per shares (or $6.4k for 4k shares). Cheers, Kevin
