Just for sharing    Aytu does not report first-quarter earnings until the middle of May, so details on how its deal for the COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test won&rsquo t be available for a few more weeks. The company submitted a notice of commercialization of the test kit to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on March 23. Under the FDA&rsquo s emergency use authorization rules, the company could begin distributing the test kits as soon as it wanted to. The first 100,000 tests arrived on April 1, and Aytu said it expected another 500,000 within two to three weeks. The Denver Police Department purchased the first 2,750 test kits, intending to use them to screen the city&rsquo s first responders. On April 15, Aytu said it had sold out the first 100,000 tests and was awaiting delivery of the additional 500,000, and it increased the size of a third order to 1 million tests. On April 23, Aytu announced a licensing agreement with Singapore-based Biolidics for exclusive U.S. distribution rights to Biolidics&rsquo s COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test. The Denver-based company will purchase 500,000 tests and has committed to purchasing a minimum of 1.25 million tests in the first three months of the agreement. |

Yes, China has stepped up its export testing since 1st April onwards, after being conveniently blamed by US for any supplier issue, as described in this video too.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVhPzl6lcjQ& t=323s  Exerpt from your article  - Though virtually unrestricted by the FDA, many antibody test distributors in the United States have run into obstacles posed by China&rsquo s export policy. After European countries criticized the quality of China&rsquo s coronavirus tests, China adopted a new policy on April 1 that holds up exports of tests until the products have a certificate from the country&rsquo s regulator, the National Medical Products Administration. Thus far, China has only certified about a dozen of the 90 China-made antibody tests on the FDA list of prospective sellers, leaving many U.S. distributors without kits to sell. This past weekend, however, China&rsquo s commerce ministry said it would loosen those restrictions. It would allow domestic manufacturers to export test kits, provided an authorized trade association verifies that the tests are approved for use in the importing countries. It was not immediately clear how the move would affect exports to the United States, since FDA approval is not required for antibody tests. Some medical experts and policy makers say that as the market expands and the stakes grow higher for the tests, the U.S. regulator needs to take on a more assertive role. Historically, &ldquo the FDA has been there as a bulwark for accuracy and reliability,&rdquo said William Schaffner, an infectious disease professor at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. &ldquo If they give up that role, that opens the door to all kinds of mishaps.&rdquo

Maybe Bio got sleeping partners from that OEM company..
Anyhow, as long as Bio do not have their own products , they will be be at the mercy of all the OEMs..so it?s just a buy/sell company..

" In a stock exchange announcement on 23 April, Singapore-listed Biolidics announced that Aytu Bioscience will be the exclusive distributor in the US, for the rapid test kits. Aytu has a binding commitment to buy an initial 500,000 COVID-19 rapid tests, and a total of no less than 1.25 million tests within three months" should be the initial 500k

Not easy to be a board of director actually. Reach out too fast but gave half ass items also kena.. Push manufacturer too fast also they give half ass items also bad.
Think bio strategy is to give timely allowance but at the same time assurance to users. Afterall, it is putting their co name in line.

Ext from Aytu' s announcement for easy read: " ...  next 500,000 rapid tests have now been cleared for shipment to the U.S. This export clearance from China, along with the additional supply we have secured through our new relationship with Biolidics, gives us great confidence in our supply chain and ability to provide these needed test kits to the U.S. medical community. Our shipments remain on track for delivery and, upon receipt, will be distributed to U.S. customers." Biolidics shd have distributors like Aytu, who made positive announcements every now and then, to sell the already approved test kits in EU, which is made up of 27 countries with a total population of more than 500mil. ![]()

Think importers would still go with the reliable sources and credibility ones. UK had a painful lesson about it. That being said, finally the moment i had been waiting for..
