Restrictions on wet markets will drive more shopper to their stores Restaurant and Fast food outlet closures will change consumer habits to cook at home and eat at home. Travel restrictions will stop many from leaving the country, if even just to Malaysia or Batam for the weekend so more local consumers here more of the time. People will be reluctant to start travelling for some time, so this is a trend set to continue. Shure there will be some additional costs as supply chins are disturbed and more staffing to cater to the extra demand. But the key word is extra demand.

However beyond that period, move from physical shopping to online shopping will threaten these guys significantly. They are obviously not competitive in the delivery market. Look at NTUC, they claim they need charge service charge for packing, what a joke! Their biz model is not structured to do delivery. Consider I am the customer, I do not use your physical store, where rental is high cost, you don?t reduce price and want to charge me service charge?

At best, it' s only forward buying n home inventories need to be eaten or use up before buying next load. I agree it' s a parabolic move n it' s quick move up will also see a swift drop when punters make a beeline for other beaten down stocks if there' s an uplift to the lockdown.
