DBS downgrades SIA Engineering two notches, slashes target priceSAT, MAR 21, 2020 - 5:50 AM It cuts FY2021 revenues by 18%, net profit by 48% and expects dividends to take a beating Singapore DBS Group Research has downgraded SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) by two notches to " fully valued" from " buy" and slashed its target price to S$1.35 from S$3.30. The research house also cut FY2021 revenues for SIAEC by 18 per cent and shaved net profit by 48 per cent. Dividends are " likely to take a beating" in FY2021, it added. Analysts Suvro Sarkar and Jason Sum said in a Friday report that SIAEC' s improved momentum on core operating profits for the first nine months of 2020 will likely come to a " screeching halt" as the Covid-19 outbreak has curbed air travel. Yes, it would be great to see DBS at $8 but that would be that Singapore is facing a deep recession where unemployment rate may spike to 4% or higher. Don' t you guys worry about this counter...! It will hit $12 when the whole of USA lockdown...the Dow will crash, the USD will evaporates and Jobless will flies..... If it continues for 1 week, DBS might hit $8 and we can buy cheap when it comes....

I am thinking if can hit $14 then it can hit $12 or $ 10 . The situation is unpredictable everywhere including Singapore. Everyday 30-40 confirmed cases, now I doubt whether hospitals have enough isolation rooms and manpower.

It looked like a coordinated big pump of all 3 banks especially DBS, and at the same time, during the pump, discreet dumping.
The big pump even dragged some distressed counters up. Genting was one of them. Just imagine, how can Genting be bullish at this stage of the game. |
