People do not understand the telcos business. They sell due to panic or margin call, etc. Telcos are defensive stocks in nature. The more it drops, the better the new shareholders. I will continue to accumulate it at lower prices. Due to the virus which caused lockdown in many part of the word, telecommunication became the only way to communicate with your love ones, colleagues, business partners, etc. Imagine if there is no internet or mobile phone availability, the world will collapse even without the virus. Telcommunication will flourish in a lockdown situation. People will spend more time on data plan, talk time, etc. This selldown of Singtel maybe a once a lifetime or rare occasion to buy at dry cheap prices. Do not play contra else selling continues. Buy for long term only.

Absolutely. Since many donkey years you can not see this kind of price, the more it drops the more it becoem attractive to accumulate. Picking small quantity at a time when it continues to drop and once it rebounces when this Covid 19 is no longer is Big issue it will back to at least above $3, DYODD

Fitch expects reduced visibility on Singtel' s free cash flow FITCH Ratings on Wednesday said Singtel' s weaker-than-expected growth prospects and potential for higher capital expenditure for the 5G standalone network in Singapore are likely to reduce visibility on the group' s free cash flow. This comes after the agency had in February downgraded Singtel' s long-term foreign- and local-currency issuer default ratings (IDR) and foreign-currency senior unsecured rating to A from A+. Fitch expects that the telco' s leverage - defined as FFO (funds from operations) adjusted net leverage - is likely to rise to around 2.5 times in the financial year ended March 2021 (FY21) and FY22, within the agency' s downgrade trigger of 2.7 times. Its projections exclude any sales of non-core assets, given the uncertainties associated with the timing and transaction value. In a report on Wednesday, Fitch forecasted " low single digits" revenue growth for Singtel in FY21 and FY22, at constant currency, in light of " intense" competition in Singapore and Australia and cautious business sentiment affecting corporate spending. That being said, the agency believes that 5G investments will ultimately strengthen competitiveness, noting that Singtel is " well-positioned" to win one of the two 5G standalone network licences up for grabs in Singapore. Singtel May Be Better Positioned to Cope With Coronavirus Impact -- Market Talk
0228 GMT - Singtel may be in a relatively better position compared with companies from other Singapore sectors to cope with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, Citi Research says, as it maintains its S$3.77 price target and buy rating. Although the market raised concerns about Singtel' s revenue growth as economies feel the pressure from the virus, it has a developed market portfolio in Australia and Singapore, as well as emerging-market exposure in Indonesia, India, Thailand and the Philippines, Citi says. Singtel' s strong cash flow also allows it to provide a sustainable 5% dividend yield, the highest among companies within the Singapore market, it adds. Shares are up 0.8% at S$2.51.
