Horrible results because of the horrible CPO prices last quarter. This is within expectations. Since its share prices mirrors CPO prices but now lagging behind, it will soon catch up.
Palm oil has surged to $553.70 when I checked just now. |

Yesterday's close was 534.50.
In the low production cycle the palm oil companies which could predict it and had the infrastructure and finances to buy cheap and stock up earlier when prices were dirt cheap will benefit.

Added 200 lots at 0.305 today when everybody was fearful.
Although not immediately, I believe eventually this counter will be privatised. Since the NAV is US $0.34, the fair and reasonable buy-out price would be around S$0.45. Since BB had already flushed out most of the people who bought low while many old birds were caught at much higher prices, privatisation will not be easy. The only way is to do what Indofood did, ie, offer a price and then collect till 90% to de-list. Hence I think it is prudent for us to hold some of it as long as it is below its NAV. |

Green initiative - BioEnergy usage using palm oil / edible oil will only drive the normal staple up. No go, in my opinion. This counter seems to be consolidating its reserves...the cycle of planting to harvesting will begin soon...that' s when this counter will move upwards. Resistance at 0.32, pulled down by heavy vested shorties...i think? anyhow, this stock can surely go to 40-50 cents range.. DYODD pls! |

Thx a lot. This is interesting. If the trend continues, n if an EN shd hit over the next yr or two, GA cld retrace up to 40+ 50c. Maybe even re-visit 80-90c, ard the level of nearly a decade ago. Watch out for IA too. Fingers crossed n DYODD as always.
