By the way if u are long term investors, don worry too much. SIA is still very solid company, if not for it incompetent subsidaries. SIA result would be 50% higher net profit, silkair/scoot/vigin australia reap off 100mil profit from sia grp. Look like SIA grp might need to privatise scoot too and take full control of their management, divest off useless virgin australia to strengthen balance sheet would be better. SIA eng seem to get the idea and quickly cut cost to boost profit to stay within ah gong care lol. Silkair and scoot need to cut cost fast and virgin australia hope sia divest it off

Weak preformance and low stock price result in no big end year bonus for everyone. SIA don seem to have cut any heads yet, that why market is punishing it stock today for minor disappointment in profit. Too much gov hand in SIA management and remain listed would put it on collusion between investors interest and dg national interest. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SIA under pressure from government to boost air traffic else when T5 come online, no business to sustain it then it would become laughing stock for neighbouring countries. From Q1 result SIA parent company is doing great but it subsidaries such as scoot, silkair, virgin australia are pulling down overall profit. Investors and brokerages are punishing SIA management for not doing enough and respond faster, instead blindly follow government directive to boost traffic at all cost. Explain why scoot and silkair suffer big losses even though load factor actually improve. Trust me if SIA got sold off to third party, they would double the net profit and increase the air traffic same time. We at last phrase of SIA transformation plan, who know maybe SIA would sell off scoot or absorb it into parent company. Meaning no moreSilkair or scoot only SIA branding fares would be split into budget, economy, premium economy, business and suite.
