I am fortunate, more like poor-to-mid tier rich, not rich rich, haha - took the right leveraged risks, and now coasting. Looking to pick up more, when the market falls.  Hopefully the new SGX rules on fair price for delistings, will stop any opportunistic low ball privatisation offers happening for this counter. Even without a Board seat, investors can go to the AGM and make their voices heard.  If enough people do it, and are activistic enough - something will happen.  Have some self-belief.  There could be reporters present, and they would be interested to hear interesting views. There are also some unseen hands supporting this counter. I think they sometimes push it down just to accumulate more cheap.  Just a theory and let us see.

You sounded rich, perhaps you should consider taking a 5% stake and ask for a seat on th Board. You can then table you thoughts and make it happen. Mind you that the company owes a lot of money. If the worse happens, your 5% goes down the drain. |

Anyway EOD this is an asset play not really profit driven. Waiting for some big divestment to excite. Just wish they would disclose sales figures for Kandis and Mont Bontanika. They are very silent in this. | ||

They should sell R18 - will make a big difference to balance sheet. But they have historical attachments as they bought dirt cheap in the 1980s. | ||

Tuan Sing 2Q earnings halved to $1.5 mil on higher finance costs, income tax expenses 24/07/2019, 7:08pm SINGAPORE (July 24): Property developer Tuan Sing Holdings reported earnings of $1.5 million for 2Q19, down 50% from 2Q18. Revenue for the quarter fell 9% to $73.9 million from a year ago mainly due to lower revenue from industrial services segment, partially offset by higher revenue from property segment. Hahaha.  Reset to zero, n start afresh.  Anyway, I think because of the rather drab property mkt in sg, TS has not been able to make sufficiently to cover its high interest costs due to high debt.  Going forward, after looking at the result post TOP of R18, I think it' d take time for recurrent rental income to make an impact.  But the silver linings wld be Dunearn n Perth, though Perth' s gonna take another 2 yrs before contributions start upon completion of AEI.  Additionally, Batam cld also prove a bright sport even though my own view is that it remains a wild card.  But 2019 full-yr results cld be boosted by the TOP of Kandis Residence (hopefully, wld be able to clear more stock of it by TOP though) n likely some revaluation gain (albeit non cash) from investment properties, especially R18 given the bullish Gr A office mkt in the CBD.  The next milestone will have to be post 2021, after the AEI down under is done with.  With that fitted into the jigsaw, I believe stable recurring income cld result in pretty resillient financial results for TS after that.  I am not quantifying Batam for now.  DYODD as always.

None of the above = what?  Great profit or great loss?  But I think shd be reasonable profit, if not better.  R18 has started contributing, n Gr A office rents in the RP area seems to be very buoyant.  Furthermore, SP Corp' s result for the period' s not gonna be a dampener.
