The aquarium is going to be expanded by so much that it will be the biggest in the world when completed. The Chairman actually passed a casual remark liken to: why MBS expansion plan is still emphasizing so much on gaming? Genting 2.0 will add 2 more hotels with a total of 1,100 rooms. Currently they only have 1,600 rooms in RWS and one other hotel in Jurong to supplement the shortage of rooms. Imagine how much more revenue this addition can bring in. It is so unproductive and high cost to run a hotel so far away from RWS. Hence, they actually can consider selling it after the additional rooms are completed.

Please also note that the trade receivable swell to 333.658 mil. It?s quite clear that without the casino portion , GS will not survived . Given the worldwide downtrend on casino spending due to Chuan capital control , all casinos are affected . If Macau sneeze, the rest will have fever . Just my opinion. I have no position in GS but would like to buy if it reaches 70c-80c range which I stated previously .

They are prohibited to reveal the exact proportion but Chairman Lim did mentioned non gaming revenue is substantial. Mainly because they have Universal Studio and other attractions. So much so that they are prepared to spend big on non gaming expasion (Gaming space only increase 500 sq m). Chairman Lim did mentioned casinos patronage is in decline and it is a worldwide trend. Main reason is sport betting, which they are not allowed to touch (Younger generation prefer on line betting rather than going to casino). Because non gaming revenue is also huge that' s why they are confident to spend so much on it. In fact the enthusiasm and excitement on Genting 2.0 expansion were very evidently displayed by both the Chairman and CEO. They said it will be stupid of them to spend 4.5B if they are not sure whether it will be fruitful or not. As for funding, I mentioned many times already. It' s not an issue at all. Mind you, after paying out dividend, the cash balance is a staggering 1 B per year on average. This yearly cash balance is enough to cover the expansion cost (4.5 B spend over 5 years). The existing 3.6 B cash is for initial expenditure if they win the Japan IR bid. Balance will be from borrowing in Japan. That is the reason why they said no fund raising from shareholders is needed for both cases.

If Genting is a losing company, it won't have the funds nor the capability to expand. I think Genting is seriously oversold and market expectations of Genting is hyper unrealistic. Naysayers are expecting non gaming revenue to stay the same, but why can't Genting grow their non gaming business to surpass the gaming business in terms of percentage? pkli899      ( Date: 17-May-2019 16:52) Posted: Not as if the company is losing money.
