So one can sell naked in the normal Ready market, next day or before the settlement date, buy back in the Cash market. Sgx is slowly turning into a tinier mickey mouse exchange. It should bring back some form of 3rd channel so that those who were caught naked in the Ready market has the way out to buy back in the ' Cash' market before settlement date. Buy in is only on a fix date where else the ' cash' market can be any day before settlement date. Just a thought to make Sgx more vibrant.

So one can sell naked in the normal Ready market, next day or before the settlement date, buy back in the Cash market. Sgx is slowly turning into a tinier mickey mouse exchange. It should bring back some form of 3rd channel so that those who were caught naked in the Ready market has the way out to buy back in the ' Cash' market before settlement date. Buy in is only on a fix date where else the ' cash' market can be any day before settlement date. Just a thought to make Sgx more vibrant.

" Unfortunately" the company called for a Halt, catching all surprise.  Big funds borrow from offshore/CDP Lending pool at a much higher interest rate then sell the borrowed shares hoping to make $$$ from drop in prices. This is such a common practice around the world exchanges. Sgx is already a mickey mouse standard and you call for only longs no shorts will make Sgx tinier than mickey mouse. Imagine the world has only Days no nights, males no females, endless. LOL stocks and shares only Bulls no Bears, Longs no shorts- cant imagine what the world looks like!

BW has suffered a fall from ard $3.30 in Feb to current of $1.62, partly due to shorting, just opinion. Very heavily shorted, sometimes as much as 50%.
