I do beg to differ. We always think our coys go into investments crashing their heads against the wall. Eg, Capitaland, Kepland in China, etc. Sure, there are lots of booby traps right left n centre. But how many have sg ' MNCs' tripped on them. Let' s be more objective abt the whole damned thing.

As expected, except for the growth in Utility ....Semb Corp is pull down by SM .....expect a few qtr of bad results from SM Semb corp share wld be pull down from here if SM cant win any good contracts. Dyodd SINGAPORE (Nov 2): Sembcorp Industries announced 11.6% lower 3Q18 earnings of $82.3 million compared to $93.1 million a year ago, due to higher expenses incurred mainly from provision for fines. Turnover for the quarter was $3 billion, up 36.3% from $2.2 billion in 3Q17 on contribution growth from the utilities and other businesses. Utilities continued to be a key contributor to the group&rsquo s topline, registering a net increase in turnover due to higher revenue in Singapore, which benefitted from higher High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HSFO) prices higher volume and prices for India higher generation from Teesside and contribution from UK Power Reserve (UKPR) and contribution from Changzhi water treatment plant in China. |

W Semb Marine bad result , it wld be a tough job for Semb Corp energy division to cover up this big hole. And not forgeting the recent India currency issue, I doubt Semb Corp can turn in a reasonable set of results . At most its flat ....DYODD |

Dow drop really trigger Semb to follow Kep drop. Semb M is certainly going to be a pull down for Semb Corp result ( energy wld be hard to cover this esp with the weak India currency ) Do expect Semb to pull back below 2.70 esp with Oil dropping back Let see Semb M result .

As expected Hyflux deal is off ( semb hope to rob it cheap is just empty hope) W KC dropping like nothing, Semb Corp seem to be holding relative ok comparing w KC. But tmr is Semb M result .....hmm what wld happen then .....As I say it might not be near its bottom .....DYODD |
