Then the killer was the poor software/drivers support by creative... If history repeats itself again, then this euphoria will be shortlived.. especially the software support proved to be disaster again

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I' m not a gamer.  I' m a music-listening hobbyist.  My music is still in stereo 2.1.  I do not enjoy surround sound nor dhoby digital audio.  My amp can replicate these sounds, but I don' t turn them on.  Nevertheless, I am tantalisingly intrigued by the xfi' s apparent ability to replicate life-like  audio via the headphone, thanks to the advent of AI n the dogged determination of one man, namely, Sim WH.  For me, as one who constantly searches for life-like audio, I eagerly await the opportunity to test the xfi.  Whether I adopt it wld depend on my perception of the sound it replicates in my ears after the test.  Afterall, the sound of music is a perceptial sense personal to each individual.  One man' s meat is another' s poison, the claim of AI s ability to replicate natural life-like sound  nothwithstanding.  I am amused by  the fact that so many are ordering a product they have  never laid their hands on  nor heard  its actual audio reproduction.  Tell me, does one buy a car without a test drive or a TV without a test watch?  Do pardon my cynicism, but I think too many are probably ruled by emotion over a sense of what hard real consumerism ought to be (reminds me of the craze during the roti boy days when apparently people were joining extended qs for it without knowing what they were q-ing for).      The danger of this is is that the whole thing cld just unfold into a fad if disappointment eventually sets in.  I certainly and sincerely hope not though.  Afterall, CT has spent a mammoth  USD  100 mil  (which, while not sufficient to buy that record-breaking HK property, cld have made millions of other wishes come true) to develop the product n I wld like to see this MIS coy  really succeed in becoming the next digital audio disruptor.  Success, if it happens, cld also see their shares hit a century too, breaking the $69 achieved ever so long ago.  I' m not vested in CT at present.  But I promise  I will if the audio test that come my way carries with it real music to my ears.  But, by then, will the  tsunami of exhuberence now sweeping the mkt  carry the share px  to a level beyond my affordability?  A risk n regret it might turn out to be for me but that' s what disciplined investing is, or  ought to  be, all abt.

Our smartphones nowadays have such good lens and functions that anybody can take a nice picture / videos.
