x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	From the presentation slides, cash USD74m 31 Dec 2017, capex for 2018 $114m, shortfall USD40m before cashflow from operations in 2018. If cash from operation $10m to $20m (wild guesses), then shortfall is $20m to $30m. Rights issue? Can' t rule out but may not be a most likely scenario. Why? Can borrow from bank, delay spending or like the Aceh field, abandon some capex.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I' m also surprised by the Aceh exit. Maybe there are things we don' t know, i.e. an unplanned or unwilling exit. All hopes now rest on Cambodia for any catalyst. Now I begin to wonder if First Reserve exit is totally due to the fund needing to exit.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	KRIS mgmt really sabo investors.  I thought their Block A Aceh going into production second half this year.  Now they suddenly decided to exit and throw away US$120mil?  HOw many US$120mil can they afford to throw?  They are only left with US$159mil in equity.  At the rate their impairment in going, another 1-2 years, KRIS is going negative equity liao. Overall production level was disappointing and even the finally production level from both Wassana and Nong Yao field will be disappointing as well.    We might see Q1 production ard 14k bpd. ​ KRIS average selling price for oil is about US$57 which is pretty close to my estiamte of US$56.  This bring the annual sale price to $US$49.  I think the coming quarter the sale price will be around mid US$60 looking at how Brent is performing so far. Lifting cost went down to US$17.7 meaning a US$15 for Q4.  Looks like solving those mechanical issues at Wassana field are making good progress.  Hopefully we can see a low US$10 for Q1. The next catalyst will now be the Cam Block A but that is 1.5 years away from now.  Can KRIS tong until then? Looks like a long road to recovery, if it does. sheerluck      ( Date: 16-Jan-2018 23:48) Posted: KRIS' s oil is based on Dubai Crude pricing with no discount except for those from their Wassana field due to quality issue.  The discount was high initially but has been decreasing steadily.  Their average oil sale price is about US$3 below Dubai crude which in turn is generally about US$2 below Brent.  The average of Brent in the month of Oct-Dec 2017 is about US$61.5 and Dubai crude is about US$59.  We may see KRIS Q4 average oil sale price around US$56. Lifting cost was affected by well mechanical issue at their Wassana field.  At one point, it escalated to a high of US$24.  KRIS is now sorting out their Wassana field so hopefully we can see lifting cost come back to the low US$10 range in second half of the year. With an average sale price of US$56, I think KRIS is still some distance away from being breakeven.  If Brent can average US$70 for the whole of Q1 2018 with average sale price of US$65, then KRIS will come nearer. Cashflow will always be a teething issue until both production and oil price are higher than current.  You should check what is their planned CAPEX, what has been spent so far and is the Q3 cash balance enough for the remaining CAPEX.  If they did spent according to their budget, they will need to borrow more.  However, it is likely that they will experience delays and will not spent all that they budgetted for for 2017.
