You guys kept on saying only 30% ,30%...maybe this 30% is the most profitable income then the rest got very little profits neh....what puzzled me most is why comfort holding so much cash but nv tend to buy back shares since the price dropped badly this year. Does it mean they think it?s far from the lowest price yet? | ||||

I see some people attacking CDG left right and centre. Did they miss the boat to buy some on Friday? Spreading fear and creating panic selling so as to keep the prices down on Monday for them to board quietly? I find the lively debate beneficial to all but please stop spreading fear. It' s strange that those who claim not to be vested  to have the loudest voice. Just my humble observation   |

Comfort Taxi only pay 60c to comfort or grab.. justgrab taxi pay 10% to grab...the only taxi fleet that growing is silver cab..because their service team is c&c..rental $108 ( cheaper than comfort $126)....and they can do justgrab / grabtaxi...i heard comfort got thd best service team...every month need to send for servicing...that why when i grab taxi...i hope for comfort/silver cab...

How can this be positive news when CDG is already having great difficulty to find parking space for their thousands of unrented taxis and now they go and acquire another 12k plus more PHVs so that their taxi drivers can get to use Uber' s App. Uber' s fares are competitively low and I doubt taxi drivers will be happy to accept jobs from Uber' s App where they need to pay 20% commission.

I' m not refering to your opinion on CDG/Uber joint venture' s potential but the technical aspects of deal. Have you read the news release on the SGX? So you really think CDG is buying part of Uber (USA) instead of just 51% of a car leasing subsidiary under Uber Singapore? I' m assuming this is not a convince/confuse strategy.

Dear Sir,  I am curious on the sell down part on the 3 days before the deal announcement. You suspect it was due to shareholders getting impatient on the news of alliance? But how can ALL shareholders get impatient on the SAME day, there are multi-millon shares traded that few days, everyone think alike? Actually I am quite bullish but just this piece of uncrackable puzzle in my head....

How this CDG goes. Many ppls will still happy with how Grab/Uber/Comfort perform with their burn $ with promo. Let it be and " Who should last last , laugh at last " Infact, CDG need not have to do any thing and let it be as this taxi which only their ~30% of their biz. They should let Grab burn more $ on promo till at their stage of giving less and less promo amount . And that should be the TIME for CDG to give good promo and this would able to kill or hurt Grab at one GO. Just one words , let them cut throat till either one get KILL. Just let us  benefits on taxi transport. LOL |

If we look at the 15 year share price performance, it ia atill notas bad as other  penny stock now.It was more than $1 andnow still $2 Again, if they dont expand like singtel regionally then the growth is limited and facing externally competition I think the share price under pressure...

I agree with you views. But I am not holding any at the moment. May wait a week or so, let the dust settle, and whoever wants to sell would have sold already. Likely to buy in progressively.

Hi Observers,   I have never said I am right.  Give one year time to observe the company' s progress.  If it does improve, then all the shareholders will be definitely happy!  Those who have already sold their shares, you need not buy back if you are not confident for those who have short, please prepare to buy back at a higher price on Monday!  The negatives have already priced in, how low you want the share price to go down?!  $1.50-$1.60?  Possible?  Unless all sell their shares in a picnic on Monday or else, I don' t see how can that be achieved?!   Moreover those who have lost confidence have already sold off their shares, the rest most likely be the ones long!  May be I can answer why these two days share have dropped so much.  Because the management supposed to release their progress on the alliance around end of Nov  but deferred so caused some to give up hopes!  But now, the situation is clearer, confidence is definitely up!  I am long because Comfortdelgro is not only comprising of its own traditional taxi, bus and MRT businessese but now also the private hiring!    |

Liking the idea is just lip service. If they really like they would at least have a " BUY" call. not HOLD. Now that everyone agrees it' s a bad to neutral news. The question is whether the selldown before annoucement can make comfortdelgro attractive or will it dip further before recovering. Insiders already know it way beforehand, thus, the heavy selldown and sudden surge in shorts. from $2.04. Have to monitor this counter to determine how funds react, whether they are done selling.

I know, but please do not use the word minimum 300,00 km, it is misleading. There are PHVs who are driven by full-time drivers, there are also PHVs who are rented out primarily for the drivers' leisure but do part-time driving to cover costs. So if you say average 150,000 km or even 200,000 km ok, not minmum 300,000 km. Have a nice evening and weekend Sir.

I have a small interest in one car rental company which is an exclusive  partner to Grab. PHV cars cover between 250 to 320 kms daily to make it worthwhile for their drivers.

Where did you get the this information from? 3-year old PHV minimum 300,000 km? It is in my work habit to observe taxi mileage and ask about their age., and I take PHV too. Taxi average 100,000 km per year, PHV is about half of taxi, 50,000 km/year, so 3 year = 300,000 km, min somemore? I can easily walk to the street and hail a sample of PHVs and lets see what is the average mileage of a 3-year old PHV.
